I really don't understand how 65hp makes that much of a difference. It's definitely night and day.

The torque is where you get the seat of the pants feel from and that's more of where the 6.2 is different. Granted the 6.2 is faster and pulls harder but IMO, the 5.3 is adequate without a doubt. I've had my hot rodding days and a truck is not a hot rod; even with a 6.2.

I'm truly torn between the two. I guess it's the age old battle of form vs function. Love the idea of the 6.2, but the interior leaves a lot to be desired on a nearly $60k truck.

Family obligations today have kept me from hitting the dealers...I'll keep y'all posted.

Here's the solution...By a Denali with the 6.2! :)

If I could find one in the budget, that'd be a no brainer.

6.2. There is no replacement for displacement. The 6.2 seems smoother to me and the AFM on the Gen V is pretty good. My lieometer says 17-18mpg with a CC 4WD and 6.2

Dude if you are not getting over 20mpg you are dogging it way too much. Ease up on the right foot man.....

Trust me, I look at their prices every day. That one is the wrong color, and also too far away. No interest in flying and then spending 10-12 hours in the car.

$2,500 extra for a 6.2 that needs premium fuel?

RH, there are too many here that are concerned about a Dodge Ram hemi blowing their doors off at a stoplight! :D .

I've been around awhile and bought a few trucks. I use to go with the top of the line truck. After a few I noticed the leather didn't last, I didn't use the sun roof and always ended up using my garman gps instead of the truck gps. What does that have to do with engine you ask? Simple if you want the 6.2 you have to get that stuff too, o yea the Bose, not impressed. When I found out about the 5.3 on E-85, what was GM thinking? When ever one of these 5.3-6.2 threads pup I remind people about the E-85 deal. Save me a ton of money buying the SLE verses the SLT just to get the 6.2, about 15K

I would like to try E85 but at the moment there are zero stations in my state that offer it. Bummer.

Buy the 6.2 and there will in fact be no worries with a Dodge Ram Hemi :)

Ease up on the right foot huh? Like giving a 4yr old an ice cream cone and telling them "don't eat that".....dog that motor out!!! Should be buying new rear tires every 6 months.
