Help, squeak coming from front suspension when going over a bump.

I have noticed lately when I go over a bump ,at lower speeds, there is a squeak or some kind of noise coming from the front suspension. The squeak only happens when there is a lot of travel so I don't know what's going on.I am running a pair of Bilstein 5100 struts up front and stock ranchos in the back. I do have the Bilstein struts set to the highest setting. I didn't notice this noise till the Bilsteins had a few thousand miles on them. I am wondering if it is the strut itself or maybe control arm bushing??? I don't know and I haven't had the time to go to the shop. I have looked several times and I don't see anything obvious, help[emoji36][emoji36][emoji36][emoji36]

I have a 2014 Z71 and I have been battling the same noise. Slow speed over a large bump and it squeaks like an old rusty gate. I lubricated one area at a time and test drove. When I lubricated the swaybar end links along with the swaybar bushings mounted to the frame with a liberal dose of silicone lube the creaking went away. The temperature right now is around 45 degrees so it's not very cold but I'll give it a try on a cold morning and see if it's still gone.

Could be noise coming from swaybar bushings/end links or control arm bushings. Mine used to do it when it got really cold. Sprayed the sway bar bushings and end links with Super Lube teflon spray and it went away.

Lower ball joints failing. I had my front passenger lower fail on my 14 1500 and my brother had one fail as well on his 14

I would be disappointed if this were the case. The truck has 67000 miles on it. I need to get under there and try the other suggested teflon spray ideas. Hope it's not the ball joint. But if it does fail I will swap it out, no big deal.

I have upper control arms in my garage awaiting installation right now. My driver's side upper is loose and has been for quite a while. Mine is a two wheel drive and has been at stock ride height since I got it at 42k miles. Currently I am at 75k miles. My buddy at work says I should replace lowers at the same time.

Do you guys think the added height, from the Bilstein 5100s on the front, is maxing out a steering or suspension part and making it squeak as it reaches its limits? I still haven't gotten under there. It does it so little I haven't made it a priority yet. Thanks for the ideas.

think I have the same issue, not loud enough for it to be captured on video, but the noise is there, only at low speeds. thinking its the 2" rc level kit i installed, might take the kit off and taking it to the dealer, or i could just go zone 6.5" kit, thoughts?

I am pretty sure I have the same problem on my 2016 Z71. I also had a level kit installed by a custom shop. I am going to call today to see if i can bring it in to see if they know what is wrong.

just realized i posted in this thread, anyways, my problem was fixed, it was caused by this bolt and by a firestone technician who had too much haterade in the morning and wanted me to pay an arm and a leg just to have them fix what they did!
