Tuned trucks with High mileage?!

I have a 2014 that just hit 49,600 miles. I had an in-person Tune done by Black Bear at about 9000 miles.

Quick Facts:

I have had zero issues aside from the battery going dead at 30,000 (GM refused to warranty it)

I primarily run E-85 as there is a station close to my house (LUCKY)

Primarily used for commuting, but I have also done a fair amount of towing, including pulling a bumper pull from Phoenix to Dallas, CAT Scale = 14,395lbs)..... Yes I was over loaded a bit but I blame my brother in law who forgot to drain the black / grey tanks before I left, but did remember to fill the freshwater tank.

Note to Self - Never let someone put 300lbs of dead weight in the rear lower cargo hatch, especially all on one side of the trailer, as this will cause your trailer to flail in all directions each time you hit a bump. LOL

Haha! Good info

Question, did GM refuse to warranty it based on the tune? or because it was a battery?

I had a blackbear tune put on my previous '08 Sierra at 100K miles. Traded it in at 160K miles and even then it drove better than when I bought it new.

They said the battery was not covered under Warranty as it is a wear & tear item.

Makes sense.

If anyone is interested, Autoanything has Diablo Intune I2 for 399.99 (normal price) but if you use promo code "Melt99" you get $80 off.

Pretty sweet deal.

Keep in mind autoanything will price match. I bought mine through AA, yet was able to find a better price through PepBoys. AA beat there price without hesitation, just need to speak with one of their agents.

I recently sold my 2008 SD 6.2L with a tune that Blackbear added/created in 2009 with 29,000 miles. Truck had 137,000 miles and runs great. Saw current owner just the other day and he loves the truck. I remember having the dealer change the transmission fluid and drop the pan. The tech commented on how good everything looked at the mileage and I remember thinking Hmmm looks so great with no torque management, firm/clean shifts, and actually raised the shift points up to 6k.

So, since there isn't a thread currently that holds all the info on tunes for these 2014+ trucks I am going to begin updating the original post of this thread with any new/updated/pertinent info and change the title so it will be a good place for people to come to read reviews on tunes and other information, since I know there are a lot of people looking for this, like myself.

Edit: Ok so, I can't change the title apparently.

Updated the first post in this thread with some results. Please keep the feedback coming! Thanks guys!

Off topic but I just had my battery replaced under warranty at 30,000 miles. Dealer mentioned above 36K and I'd be pooched. Also, just waiting for my email tunes to arrive from Blackbear
