I know this is an old thread, but can someone confirm that 14/15 Sierra 1500 will take the 17 hood without grill/headlight swap? My 2014 Sierra 1500 was hail damaged last week and the hood took the brunt of it. I'd prefer to swap it for a newer one, but wouldn't be able to justify the swap if I need new headlights, grill and bumper too. Thanks

Does anyone have any info on what’s involved bolting the 2500hd bumper on a 1500 when doing a whole front end swap. Any mods needed? ( besides needing grill/headlights and hood)

It would involve some fabrication of adapters a the HD frame and the 1500 frame are drastically different in the front and back.

The HD frame front is designed for a plow head and the frame rails go all the way to the bumper unlike the 1500 that tuck up under the back.

Anyone know i the inner portion of a 2014-2018 2500 Sierra Denali grille will fit a 14-15 Sierra 1500?

Example shown below.  Center portion of 2500 outlined in yellow.

I would like to replace my 2014 with this 2018 HD version. Is the size/frame the same?

I dont have facts for ya but it is highly doubtful.  2500s have taller grilles. Btw where is everyone buying these L5P hoods???

Hey Guys new here, but I came across this site & the pic of the 2500Ram-Air style hood.... Unfortunately I was in a.head on collision with my 2015 Denali, but some silver lining here, the body shop agreed to put the Ram-Air hood on it, and since my Bumper, lights, hood, fenders & smaller parts had to be changed out, they did me a solid & did a 2019 conversion..... I have pics before & hooefull get my truck back tomorrow, so will def post those.... 14GMC14 is correct, you really only need to change the hood, duck work added & new 2500 springs, as this hood is steel not aluminium, I don't have a K&N set up, but was thinking of just getting the other top to the air intake, thinking it will actually keep the air cooler since it's kinda sealed. With an open airbox your letting the hot air in from the motor..... But nevertheless thank u for doing it to yours, made me say yes after the accident.....

Real question is where is everybody getting the hoods from? Located in Alabama so if anybody from here has done it that’d help too

Goeb34, I'm from Connecticut. But the bodyshop got it from GM Parts Direct & the hardware. You could also stop @ your local GM/GMC dealership & go to the parts department.
