Any updates on getting this to work in a Sierra or Silverado? Has anyone taken the dash apart to see if the HUD projector will even fit?

I'm still working on it. I had some health challenges come up which set me back a little plus I've been trying to get my C10 ready for the Hot Rod Power Tour this year.

Subb'ed. I have a '17 Silverado LTZ I'm curious about this for.
Aside from the parts themselves, is this technically possible on the Silverado? I.e. ports are their, firmware can be unlocked/modded etc.

The visor issue could be handled using a 3d printed part. What about the windshield? Us there a piece of film that can be used in place of the entire replacement from the GMC?

I have a 2017 High Country. I ordered a instrument cluster hood for a 2017 Tahoe in cocoa.

If I can get the Tahoe Instrument cluster hood with HUD to fit correctly. I am confident a space and mounting points can be fabricated.

Any updates to this? About to send my Denali cluster in for programming to work in my SLT. I have option of adding HUD capability to cluster.

Sounds like no one has successfully completed a HUD retrofit / addition to K2XX trucks?

Does the Tahoe SUV instrument cluster hood with HUD fit on Silverado Truck?

Anyone making wiring harness for cluster to HUD?

To make this work you need: (As I understand reading this thread)

- Denali cluster with HUD unlocked (programming by WAMS)

- Various custom cables to connect cluster to HUD & connect switch to HUD.

- HUD Display 23474646 ; 22812172 ; 23321030

- HUD Switch + Custom mounting

- Modify your dash to fit HUD

* I found these part numbers searching the net. Try at your own risk ;-)

Here’s a picture from a Tahoe.[emoji1312]
Finally broke down and bought me a 17 Yukon digital cluster for my truck. I’ve made previous upgrades to my HMI and radio thru WAMS (thanks wams!!) that allow this retrofit with the HUD feature enable., i also have new HUD to install it and thanks to@pgamboa who lives 25 min away from who has me cover to build me a harness for free [emoji13] ??.
The biggest challenge of all of this going to be the dashboard upper trim piece and the cluster visor hood.. so if we want to accomplish this retrofit for our Silverado & Sierras we are going to work on this one together.@cmatt mentioned a tab coming from the dash metal bar support and my Silverado has that one as well, it will match but it will also require extra brackets to make a solid union of the HUD and the metal support.
So if anyone has only other info on this please feel free to share and let’s tackle this one together..[emoji1320][emoji1306]

Yeah! ?

Get it done! ?

Ill order all the parts once I know how involved the dash trimming is and if someone makes the cables.

Would love to have hud now that I have Denali cluster already programmed for hud.

My 18 has the alert leds in dash if that helps.

I also have front windshield full tinted so will see if that causes any image issues. Alert leds look the same but a bit darker with tint.

What kind of space do you have between the cluster and the firewall?

The space for the hud is there and the tab on the metal support is there as well, it doesn’t show very much space now but by cutting some of the plastic dashboard frame “skeleton” the hud should fit there.
