Went to the dealership today. They accepted it after buying my truck 7 months ago. I went ahead and ordered the keypad entry. Not sure where I'm going to mount it yet.

Mainly for lock-out entry? How about inside the fuel door?

There must be some "trick" place to have it out of sight - there are a little fugly - reminds me of '80's Lincolns..........

Pretty much for at home and I run out to the truck and forget my keys. Also when I'm at the deer lease and don't feel like having my keys with me and can just leave them in the truck. I've heard of a few guys putting it inside the fuel door but I'm thinking about putting under the mirror so it's not as noticeable. If I had a black truck it wouldn't matter.

Do you have a bed cover? What about putting it up against the top of the bed rail at the top?

Yeah I have an undercover flex so that won't work.

Okay I'll admit it!...I was initially skeptical of this whole thing, thinking they'd let me just roll in 10 months later and use this coupon. I was wrong! I just rolled in there and said I want the floor matts and presented the coupon and BOOM! Out the door for front and back for $94.

But now I wonder what is there to prevent somebody from rolling around to different dealers and using this?

lol, that's the # i gave. i always give that one out since it's easy to block numbers.

Thanks - So the extisting cover just pops off starting at the top - with your fingers - no tools required?

I found it easier to use a flat head screwdriver (or if you have a proper pry tool, that works too) to start it at the top. Once you have enough room to get your fingers in it just pops off. Might take a bit of force but you don't need any other tools. Once it's off, you need to detach the safety clip (this prevents the A pillar trim from smacking you in the face if the air bag goes off). Some guys cut it off, but I just unclipped it and then it essentially clips back onto it self to keep it out of the way. It'll make more sense when you see it. Then you just place the new handle over the two holes and secure it with the bolts.

I'm useless when it comes to this stuff and even I was able to do it, lol.

Grab handle arrived today - used a credit card to pry the rubber door jamb seal back enough to grab the plain cover with my fingers - popped right off - no tools - no touching the easily soiled headliner. (Why don't they have black headliners). Then just a matter of lining up the holes - thread on with a 1/4" nut driver as far as possible. Then carefully tightened with a 1/4" ratchet, being sure to protect the windshield from the ratchet handle.

Was thinking I would only use it for getting out - but it seems handy getting in too - no wonder they put them is HD's...... Now I am grab handle symmetrical.

Ordered storage organizer and cover for rear seat and parts guy said they have to check to see if I can use it, yes it has been almost 9 months but there's no expiration date on coupon. I've been a loyal customer buying multiple trucks and my dad but if they dont let me use this thats over with.

So I got my keypad entry installed today. I originally put it under my drivers side mirror, but it looked horrible. Especially since my truck is white so I came up with another option. I installed it on the wiper cowl close to where the vin and the windshield are. I'm happy with it and you don't even know it's there unless you're looking for it.post-54656-149100825065_thumb.jpgpost-54656-149100825864_thumb.jpg

Drove down to my dealer today and picked up the front and rear molded mud flaps, he had both and said total was $115 including tax so I handed him my coupon, he took a minute to write the VIN number on it and said I was good to go. I ask him who to pay the extra $15 to and he said I was good to go and they would adjust the price to $100 total. Now I got to figure out how to make a homemade riv-nut tool. Dang Engineers could of done several different options to install these but nope, need a tool for the riv nuts.

    • My truck is a ¾ ton but my placard also says 80 for the rear tires, I think I might have the upgraded suspension to the 3500 series maybe.   I put my air down to 60 and the light was still on, and there was no way I was putting over 60 psi in the rear empty and not towing because I knew the actual number Toyo gave me and I didn't wanna ruin the center of my tires!   And you actually can change it in the settings from metric or is and it will show kph or mph then when you go into your tire settings it will be either psi or kpa, but it would be nice to just change it directly on the tire psi page
    • Common Sense Assembly   Your driveline is forgiving of the occasional mistake. It will even often forgive the random serious blunder. But it will not forgive a continuous bad habit.      What? Not everything needs to be a five thousand word essay.
    • We drove about 15 minute east today to visit a friend and saw a steep increase in price in the same county. About 50 cents a gallon steepper.
    • Sure about that? A degree wheel and a dial indicator would lower your degree of assurance in that statement. 😉    It why we have offset keys and dialable timing sprockets. Just say'n.... I've built a few and have never seen one "On the money".
    • I will admit I haven't experimented much with pressure drops beyond the numbers I put in and part of that is that the numbers I used are fairly low and then found out it would trigger regardless at that 35 psi. Having said that I had tried before had changed the placard pressures and being that I have a 1 ton set to 80 on the placard for the rear I believe it triggered close to 60, the front I don't recall now for sure but thought maybe it could get close to 45 from that factory 60 placard pressure. So I never did figure out if it was a number of psi from placard pressure to the alarm or a percentage of the total placard number as some figured it was like a 25% drop from placard pressure would trigger it. So as to try and answer your question, I believe I set the placard pressure on the front to 47 or so and while I run the front tires at 40, they have dipped below that some if its colder and I haven't put "winter air" in yet and never once have had the front alarm go off. I would say that the answer your looking for is no, that if you set your placard pressure to 45, you have a certain amount of room to drop below that pressure before the alarm will go off.    The pressures you decide to run in your truck, that ends up being what makes sense to you based on what your carrying in your truck or if towing, then have to bump them back up to something that will carry the load in the rear and the fronts typically left at the same pressure. It all comes down to that chart I put the link to and using an accurate roadside scale to be your guide, both unloaded and then loaded to know your minimum safe pressures.    I just wish GM would allow a person to change the readings for the tire pressures to the English system of pounds as I have to look at that goofy metric reading that will never ever jive in my head and will go over and change it just to figure out what they are if need be and then change it back.
