No. GM's parts system lists the "big chin" mat for 2018. Obviously, this is not correct! I said screw it, and made my own from two big chin mats. Looks OEM.

where did you cut the mat to do it. Need some details on this!. Also that brushed looks good and matches the axiom finish in my sierra. I aint paying 50.00 for it tho...LOL to hell with that!

I was just told from my parts guy that the 2018 charging mat P/N is 84199943.  The previous charging mat is 23264395.  The new mat is VERY expensive compared to the previous mat.  The new mat lists for $103.52 and previous mat lists for $9.55.  Gmpartsdirect.com has the new mat $67.08 and the old mat at $6.19.  I ended up ordering one to see why it's so expensive so we will see.

Holy moly! It’s gotta be the extra ridge. LOL. Let us know.

Got a 2018 Suburban without Wireless charging. They don't offer it as an option or accessory from parts.  So I took apart the center console and it seems that in order to add the GM version, you need to replace a harness that runs from the front from a BCM presumably all the way to the back in order to have the port to plug the harness from the wireless charger into.  Parts guy saw there were two harnesses but couldn't confirm if that would be enough to solve for the problem.  Then I also remembered the 2018 I rented over the holidays was a bit finicky with the placement of my iPhone X.  So I looked for aftermarket.  So for those without wireless charging now or even those looking to upgrade your charging to work with iPhone X or 8, here is an other option: Brandmotion 1273

It took me about an hour to install.  Probably not even.  It was really easy.  Tapped into power at the BCM under the steering wheel.  I did make some wiring modifications compared to their instructions to avoid drilling holes they wanted drilled.  But this thing works flawlessly! And I like the Blue light that turns green when the phone is charging.  Instant visual feedback.  I have not had any issues with it keeping the phone charging.

Just thought I'd share another option for those of you looking.  I was hoping to replicate the OEM set up, but between the growing cost, the possible roadblocks and the potential for it to be a bit touchy, I settled for this option, and I recommend it highly.

I spent the better part of a week outfitting my 2017 GMC Canyon Denali with the 2018 GM #13521066 charger. Phil (pgamboa) went cruising and his harness parts went on back order so I obtained the plug and connected it myself. Pretty green light illuminated when charging. I want to thank Phil publically for his communication and skills in the charger conversion as he is an asset to this forum. Yesterday, I traded the 2017 GMC Canyon Denali in on a 2018 GMC Sierra Denali which has the larger charging pad and Qi. Now, can you believe that? What the?

Did you take the 18 charger out and replace it with the original in case you need it later?

No. It wasn't worth my time as mine is now under warranty.

I got my plug a few days ago and the charger today. Installed in less than 15 min. Everything works great!

How’s the charge speed? Is it as fast as the wired charge?

Not nearly as fast as a wired charger.  My rate is around 10-12% per hour.

Received my module plus new connector.  Of all the bad luck one of the pins broke and now I have to figure out where and how to get a crimp female connector for 22awg.  No Radio Shacks available any more.  Anyone have a suggestion how to get a couple of the connector pins?

Mouser Electric has the red plug connector and the pins. The red plug is 571-2035363-4. The pins are 571-1924955-1.

Just received my 571-2035363-4 from mouser. Re-pinned from the old plug and voila! I literally watched a 2 min video on how to re-pin on YouTube and I figured it out. So easy!

Well, I'm having the same problem as everyone else. I took my truck in for scheduled service and had them check the charging pad and it has power to it but it wouldn't charge either my phone or anyone elses doing the service work. Then we checked in an 2018 and my phone and the service persons charged just fine in that. They said it was because I have the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus that isn't compatible as they gave me that list  that they have put out for everyone. Its never worked since I bought the truck late last year.

Ok, what do I need to do for my charging pad to work?

Swap it out for the 2018 module. Part # 13521066. You’ll either need to repin the connector since it won’t fit the new module or order my Retrofit Harness for $25.

    • It's possible the two trucks are using different body control modules which is why yours works and the OP's doesn't.   So much in these newer vehicles depends on model/trim configurations, production date. They don't all use the same modules like back in the day.
    • I forgot to answer the question as per what market mine is set to and yes I finally found that area on mine and yes its also set to America.   So here's something I realized as I wasn't looking at that part in the Sierra section until now, your right that what I see here as choice 3 under Sierra which says 07/2023-06/2026 ( 433 MHz 13542523 ) it has no choice 5 for tire pressure selection. Where as it does under the Chev choice. However I kept going down the list within the Sierra and I am really wondering if choice 9 will work for your truck as it has the same model number and hertz sensor as my truck. I would say try that choice first, if that doesn't work then jump over to the Chev section and again choose that same model and hertz choice as for some reason the Chev section gives the choice 5 of tire type/pressure selection for going back a number of years. Could very well be an Autel thing that they just didn't get the updates all done properly under Sierra but anyway first try that selection 9 I suggested under Sierra and then go from there.
    • Looking for this piece that holds the hose clamp in place. I have the hose clamp just not that other piece. Dealers and wrecking yards in my area will not sell just that piece. They want you to buy the whole air tube $100 +/- to get that $5 part.  that piece isn't molded to the air tube as I looked at my friends truck. It's held on by a screw and nut. I'm trying to put the OEM parts on the truck as the previous owner butchered things up installing an aftermarket CAI. It really looked homemade. 🤣 Thanks
    • Ok I missed that part that yours is a GM. The strange part is that the choice for year ranges and within the year of 2026 is different on the Sierra then on the Chev for some reason as I am looking at my tool at the Sierra choices. Now I am guessing you see as to your sensor part number as it may be different on your truck for some reason and a call to GM should get you the part model number of the sensors you should have as well as which MHz your sensors are. I know mine are the ones as per what I listed but there are other choices in the Autel and got me wondering if by some chance they put different ones in your truck. Having said that, did you try using each of the choices starting from No 1 and going on down the list, not sure if that would mean shutting off the engine each time and resetting the tool and going at it again each time. Also I thought of something else which may sound retarded but if there was some stupid chance that the chev choice would work. The reason I say that is that the Sierra is showing a range up to 06/2026 for the various choices of sensors it could be where as the Chev has one choice that has that 12/2026. By the way it is possible to not run the truck and you may know that as per not pressing the brake but pressing and holding the start button for a few seconds and it lights up the dash ( its called service mode ) but that sucks battery power and if it were me doing it that way I would be throwing on a decent sized battery charger before doing it that way as killing your battery won't make you happy at me at all !.    Like I say, just a thought to try the Chev choices if you have already exhausted the Sierra choices but first it would be nice to know for sure what exact sensor model and hertz your truck uses as I assume only those choices that mention the sensor would work unless a choice that does not mention the sensor model would somehow work. Its frustrating when one is trying to use tools like this without the experience of the tool and the vehicle, as I am sure dealer techs themselves struggle with it when starting out or a new model year comes along that is slightly different.
    • I tried before I updated the scan tool just incase an update messed it up, but it never worked so I updated the scan tool and it still didn't work.   Only difference is I click on Sierra not Chevrolet cause I have a Sierra.   If I click on 2026-2024 I didn't have any option to change placard, when I click on 2023 it does give me the option but when I try to do it,.it says vehicle not supported!   I have my region or market or whatever it is set to America I think, is that what yours is set to?
