You can peek under there and see - they just cut out the flapper and muffler as one unit in the pics I posted above. If you are getting drone with the turbo muffler - why not get the quietest Flowmaster for the LT - I certainly not hearing any drone or V4 weirdness with the Flowmaster..........

The shop known for muffler installs in my city(population of 49,000) sells Dynomax, and it's a name I know from my days with my 1991 5.0 which I was running dual dynomax :happysad:

Sweet. sweet duals. You can have them put in what you brung - that's what I did - AutoAnything had a 15% off deal going when I bought the Flowmaster....... 53553 for the 6.2L...... 53071 for the 5.3L..........

LOL! Best comment of the day. I'm surprised someone from Texas would say such a thing! Last time I was down there, just about everyone with a truck had dual exhaust.

Yep, but thankfully mufflers are required. Loud trucks are annoying. I still don't get it.

To each his own with the loud exhaust. Here in South Texas the "cool, hot, hip, dope, fly" thing is Flowmaster duals with turn downs and no cats. Sounds like Azz, drone galore and just screams ticket my azz please.???

I think this will be one truck, I'll leave alone! I have an Avalanche with Flowmaster super40, loud enough for me.

I've decided to go with a Magnaflow 12909. As far as the tip, I think I might wait till SLP comes out with their tail pipe kit. Supposed to be out in October for the 6.2.

Should be very mellow - My Flowmaster Big Block 50 Series certainly is nice - had it on over a week and really it sounds like GM should have made it. The current MPG around town is reading 17.0..... best with stock muffler was in the 16's. And I certainly have not been babying it with the new exhaust to hear - even towed on this tank last weekend.

The Super 40 would be very loud - I bet you would like to mellow Flowmaster Big Block 50 Series on your truck.......

What's the deal with excessively loud exhaust? Is it a macho thing? If you want your truck to be annoyingly loud, why not just pipe the exhaust through your cab so that you can hear it without annoying everybody else in the area? Then you can buy a set of truck nuts to feel macho.

Agree. Same with motorcycles. I had a muscle car with headers, dual exhaust, that was years ago. :happysad:

It's actually great. Just what I was looking for. Still fairly quiet at idle and sounds good at higher rpms.

It's one of those hold my beer, look@me, hood scoop on a truck, train horn, seat surfing squid, kinda things. lmao

I'll just enjoy the XM tunes while the stock exhaust tames the testosterone.

Or..... People don't like pulling into a parking lot on to see 5 other people with the exact same truck. Nothing wrong with wanting unique things to set your truck apart.

I have super 40s on my truck. It's not that loud. I get compliments all the time. Just driving around, it sounds nice and deep.

I'd put money on all the people complaining about loud exhaust being old guys. It's funny how old people generally hate everything but stock vehicles.

Four trucks the same then one other probably hot pink with fuzzy purple dice hanging off the hitch and a rainbow mural on the tailgate with a Hillary bumper sticker that's just really obnoxiously loud, copy that.
