last chance for warranty work

Recommended Posts

So my 3 year anniversary date is coming up in June on my 2014 Sierra.

I've had vibration issue fixed, headlights updated, seat upholstery replaced, loose seat fixed, but didn't do the seat belt repair.

As this is my last chance for any warranty work, I've made an appointment to have the whole truck gone over.

Looking for leaky shocks, and paint peeling from frame. Any suggestions what else has been susceptible to problems? Thanks in advance.

Warranty is for broken parts. Not what might break or a restoration.

Might also consider purchasing an extended warranty for piece of mind if you intend to hang on for the long haul.

Negotiate for a reduced price for an extended warranty. If you can not get a deal, tell your dealer you are going to check prices with other dealers, after all this is a GM warranty, not a specific dealer warranty - purchase the warranty where ever you can get the best price.

Mine passed 2 weeks ago, same thought process, had nothing to fix, time went on and I'm over it lol

Ive been out of warranty for about 9,000 miles now and all is good so far. Guess I only have 5,000 more miles until I need a new condenser hose though :)

This is correct but there is nothing wrong with what the op is doing. I've taken past vehicles in for a pre-warranty expiration check-ups and I will with my new truck. I find dealerships very good at identifying and repairing imminent problems. I combine this inspection with another service such as an oil change and I get a written record of any work completed or other potential concerns. There are other threads on the pros and cons of extended warranties but I find problems usually surface and are resolved during the standard warranty period.

Got my headlights upgraded per tsb, only for free because of the warranty

Maybe same applies to AC hose, don't know

I would make sure your radio has had all of the updates done to it.

I had at least three updates put on my 2014 radio before I traded it.

What updates do you speak of? I do not think I have had any updates done on that.
