question about my recent 2017 purchase

so I recently purchased a brand new 2017 Chevy Silverado 2500 Z71. These trucks are pretty expensive mine came out to about 65k because the dealer did modifications to it such as new rims and tires, new suspension and a lift on it. when I was at the dealer before they ran my credit for the truck, I had asked the sales associate if they had the stock rims for the truck because I wanted them that way I can throw them back on the truck in the winter and keep the nice rims for the summer. the sales associate had no clue about any rims and he had no clue about anything on the truck. for the first 15 minutes he kept insisting the truck had a 5.3 motor. I should of known then to get another sales associate. but the truck is badass so I was really excited about getting and it and even more excited when I got approved and got a good interest rate so by that point I forgot about the rims. so the next day I called again and spoke with the associate and again he didn't know anything about the rims. I had a friend of mine who is close with the manager at the dealer and has bought multiple cars off of them speak with the manager and he was giving my friend the run around as well. Finally the manager said that I had received a discount on my paper work for the rims and tires which is bullshit. I think they either sold the rims and tires or they put them on another truck or idk what they did but they keep giving me the run around. I paid a lot of money for this truck its not no 1500 dollar truck its a 65k truck and I believe I am entitled to the rims and tires that came stock on the truck I am entitled to have those rims I am paying for it. and instead of them being honest and telling me the truth about what happened with the rims they just keep lying and blowing my phone calls off which is really pissing me.

Well, coming from someone who's seen this before. They do this all the time and "entitled to them" I don't think so. Because if they installed GM accessory wheels, you wouldn't get the factory wheels either. This is ultimately up to the dealership and I'd be glad they gave me a $1,500 discount, because the truth of the matter is, they purchased the truck and upfitted the truck. It is their product to do whatever they want with until you buy the vehicle. At the end of the day, those trucks are being sold regardless, so someone would have bought it and been fine with what it came with without a discount. This is a time to be glad, you just bought one of the greatest trucks on earth!!! [emoji1417]

You needed to get this written in your paperwork when you signed it. If part of your purchase agreement does not explicitly state "customer is to receive original wheel and tire assemblies", then you are not entitled to anything at all!

Is it BS? yes. Is it a poor way for a dealership to treat a customer that they just made a big sale on? yes.

However, the only thing the dealership has really done "wrong" is mistreat you.

If the rims were on the truck as part of their "mod" package, then no. If you had started with the truck bone stock and then added and paid for the new wheels/tires, then yes, they would be yours.

Most folks figure out what they are paying for before they hand over any dollars. And, clueless salesmen are commonly referred to as "salesmen".

Unless they agreed to "anything" before the sale, you will get nothing after the sale.

Proper grammar and punctuation, priceless.

And not to be easily found in on-line forums.

You are not entitled to the original wheels and tires because you did not own the truck when they were replaced with what was on the truck when you bought it. They are not yours and you have no claim to them.

No dealer likes to have unhappy customers, but being unhappy doesn't get you a blank check either. I would suggest that you speak with the upper management of the dealership calmly and let them know what your expectations are/were and ask if they can help to meet that. Even if they can't give you the extras, they may be able to make some other gesture to make you happy... and that will happen the easiest if it's a calm, cool, and level headed conversation. Arguing gets you nowhere.

Im a girl i dont know what forum to post in and what not to post in. I just posted anywhere so that i could get feed back and a opinion about something i really didnt know if i was wrong or right about. Isnt tbat what forums are for? Nit for people to be pricks. Not about proper gr I typed this on my phone. So tbank you to the few people that gave real feed back and advice i appreciate it. And ive been very calm and polite with the dealership i just dont appreciate that when i asked from the beginning they werent honest with me and told me no. If they would of told me no from the beginning that would of been fine. Its th telling me one thing, lying to me and ignoring me i hate.
