I've had 3 sets of gm rims and tires on my 2016 crew z71. All smooth as glass to 75 mph and beyond.

Has anyone made a correlation on vibration issues between fort Wayne and Salina mexico assembly? Mine is a Texas Edition so makes sense it was assembled in mexico then shipped to NY

I had an intermittent vibration issue on my 2017 Sierra 1500 Denali Ultimate. It would only happen on light acceleration around 1500-2000 RPM and only once the truck was fully warmed up. I can only describe the vibration as a shake that very noticeable in the steering wheel that resembled a rumble strip type of vibration. I had to have a tech from the dealer go for a ride with me to feel it. The problem turned out to be that the transmission was overfilled from the factory. GM told them to double flush the tranny and replace the filter. I haven't had any problems since and overall shifting and smoothness has improved vastly. Also from what I was told, there isn't a dipstick the check the transmission fluid level. I haven't even checked that yet (shame on me!). If you are experiencing the same issues, feel free to relay that information to your tech!

I have a 2016 8 speed that is also a major vibrator. Usually on interstate cruising between 70-80. Console and seats vibrate pretty good. Seems to come and go. Will vibrate for several miles, then be smooth for a few miles. BTW my steering wheel does NOT shake. Just the seats and console.

This is an issue, like the crap going on in the swamp, that will never be resolved to everyone's satisfaction. So no need to keep waiting and hope for a solution in the 2027 models. The issue is totally subjective in occurrence and evaluation and spans numerous makes and models, evidenced across many forums. One thing is certain - every new truck will either:

vibrate and you feel it,

vibrate and you don't feel it,

doesn't vibrate and you don't feel it or

doesn't vibrate but you've convinced yourself you feel it.

Test a vehicle and let your hands, feet and a$$ convince your brain to your satisfaction and make your purchase accordingly.

It doesn't seem like it would be that hard for GM to figure out what's causing this. My 2015 8 speed didn't shake at all on my test drive yet started a couple weeks after purchase. Usually at about 72 mph up to 80 ish. I tried different wheels and tires, etc. The shaking stopped when I switched locations of the wheels and tires but it's now back in full force now that I put completely different tires on it.

I think it's the issue is in the trans. or torque converter. Possibly the driveshaft. No I don't think we need to just accept it and sweep it under the rug. Eventually someone will figure this out!!

You and me both. Personally don't know why anybody would buy anywhere else. No dealer in my area could come close to their price....

mine does the same thing. Even put new tires on it to try and get it to go away. Be careful buying a new truck because mine didn't start until around 2500 miles
