I have a 2016 2500 HD. My last free oil change is coming up. Soon I will be doing my own oil changes. The book calls for synthetic blend. Is it better to use full synthetic?

Lots of opinions.

Personal choice on brand and type of oil.

Same with filters.

Same with change intervals, DIC oil monitor, 5 k miles, 7500 miles etc.

Use mobil 1 or Pennzoil full synthetic. I would also choose Wix filters. Simply the best. Stay away from the Amsoil.....

Scamsoil 5w30 signature and an EAO17 filter.. done. Or run whatever you want because it honestly will not matter. Gm wants the Dexos rating.. that's all they care.

Yes, better to use full synthetic and use a good quality filter. Premium filter if you are going to go over 5000 miles on oil changes.
