so within the onstar app it says my truck is onstar capable, but within my truck there is not onstar button...

No button on the mirror? I thought ALL GM vehicles had it regardless of trim level. Go online and chat with On Star.. They'll tell you your options.

I talked to OnStar and they didnt know what to do, they told me to contact my dealership.

There is an onstar delete option. It’s possible this truck had that. The dealer may be able to add it if that was the case.

Check your glove box for this RPO. UE0

If you have that code, onstar wasn’t ordered.
