2017 Silverado Looking to add Fender Flares

Hi -

This is my first post on the forum.  I've owned a few Chevy trucks.  I bought a 2017 last year, and about 3 months ago lifted it and added 35s.  On the fence, as I like how it looks but probably wouldn't do it again.

ANYWAYS, I wanted to add the fender flares as it tosses a lot of water, dirt etc.. when it rains.  Mine is the Ocean Blue, so I will need to paint the flares but I paint so not a big deal.

I wanted to ask what are the best quality flares out there?  Looking to add the pocket flare style with the bolts, and hopefully not drill a lot of holes.   I see that they are manufactured by a bunch of different vendors and I would only like to spend $ once.

Thanks in advance for the input!

EGR best quality in my opinion. They are tight as hell and require NO drilling; they use a tight clip system. I’ve even taken mine through auto car wash that had crazy blowers at the end and they barley moved.. I’m very impressed.

Don’t mind the wheels.. big lift going on as we speak.

Curious as to why you wouldn't do the lift and tires again?

Don’t get me wrong I like the look.  Just 1 thing was had one KO2 that did not want to balance right and ended up with 4 trips until finally getting a tire replaced.

And also the loss of power.  It just feels a little more sluggish and the trans downshifts kinda hard while slowing down.

Do you have a tune yet?  If not, I'd highly recommend that and a re-gear with 35s, to get your truck back running good again.

I'm also watching this thread because I need some decent flares as well.

Who painted yours? It seems that EGR doesn’t do paint matched for our year. At least the distributors I’ve looked at.

EGR painted mine for me, paint matched Summit White. They are a sponsor however.

Here’s what they look like with 22x14 with 35s and an 8” Lift put on.. -76 for stance lol

I have a 2017 with a 6 inch lift and 35s

My Flares are Rough Country Paint matched and require no drilling.  All secure clips.  Coming up on 1 year with this truck.  No issues.

I just have a super chips tuner.  Adjusted for power/tire size.

I shouldn't say the loss of power.  I guess it's more the shift points of the transmission.  Just seems when slowing down, if I slow down quickly it slams/clunks into a lower gear.

I finally pulled the trigger and bought a set.  Painted and cleared yesterday.  The paint and clear was almost the same price of the flares... and I painted them myself!

What brand lift did you go with and do those flares move at all with the clip system. Also did u use any tape or protector around the edge of the flares to protect your paint? Thanks in advance for your input

Man, that is the perfect stance. That looks great. I cant stand the huge negative offset wheels.
