Cbell13055 Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 So here it is. Always loved the 2500HD’s with tow mirrors. So I order tow mirrors and I’m not 100% in love. Not sure. I didn’t hate the stock Denali mirrors but thought I’d be much happier with the tow mirrors. Need all your input!!!!
AllterrainX440 Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 I like the black caps the best. I'd be curious how they'd look with the turn signals smoked out. What brand of mirrors those are?
TRKLGND Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 I'd love to have power folding/heated tow mirrors on my Silverado 1500 LTZ. Had them on the 2500 and miss them on the 1500.
wforrest08 Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 I go back and forth trying to decide to put tows on my 1/2 tonner have them on my 2500HD and love the functionality of them. I’d rock them for awhile if you haven’t already and see if they grow on you and how you like them daily in all situations. If they ain’t power folds you might hate them in tight spots like I do. IMO the tows look best with body colored covers I think it helps tie everything together and kind of takes care of the cheap look of the all flat black mirrors? I agree with X440 on the smoked turns. Also seen some guys go with clear turns and/or switchbacks so you do have more options with the tows.

They look better when the truck has a little more lift and bigger tires... I added a 1.5" Body Lift and LT285/60R20 tires and they look so big on mine now... You can't beat the improved visibility they provide. I tow a 30' Pontoon boat and a 16' enclosed trailer; and I struggled even with mirror extenders on the stock ones. My mirrors are folded in the picture but you get an idea of difference in height between a stock height truck and mine with a 2" Level and 1.5" Body Lift....
DEV1ST8R Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 Very nice ride!! Both mirrors look great on it, but I like the non-towing ones better. And definitely the chrome cap!

Maybe I'm a little biased but I couldn't agree more. Every time I see a stock 1500 (stance wise) it doesn't look right. A little lift and tires takes care of that imho. I prefer the color matched caps personally.Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk

It’s funny you mention the extra lift and the mirrors. They look just a little big for my truck. I have 33” tires but with 22’s they look small. Also, I have a 2 leveling kit on it too but stil doesn’t seem to have enough height. I think the height is why I like them on the 2500’s they seem to sit higher
ray2005 Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 Also, with black covers After having the tow mirrors it would be hard to go back to standard mirrors with the blind spots. Are those the black textured covers? Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
