Yes you can stack it on top of the 6k inventive.  But you cannot stack it on top of other incentives like business owner, military, first responder, employee, etc.

You should be able to get a great deal on an RST unless the 6.2 makes it rare.  I got bent over the barrel because I had to have an AT4 diesel which are harder than hell to find.

Good luck on your negotiations.

The only other thing I think I can stack on it my GM card points. I wanted something that's a bit of a unicorn so there may not be much room - we'll see. It's an RST, Z71, 6.2 double cab with Convenience I & II and cloth interior. I've been lightly searching for months before I finally came across one. I was going to wait for the new interior next fall but truck trades are hot right now so I might bite the bullet. The main thing I'm worried about is trade. My local dealer offered me 2k under KBB this week on another truck and I laughed all the way out the door. Hopefully this dealer will come in better than that.

If you have a trade I highly suggest you see what Carvana will give you for it.  It only takes a few minutes and you don't even need to create an account.  Just an email.  We had no intention of getting new vehicles right now but I checked the KBB prices and was shocked how high trade in was.  So we are selling both our cars to Carvana.  A 2020 Telluride SX AWD and a '19 Hyundai Kona Ultimate AWD.  People are COVID crazy on what they are willing to pay for used cars.

Also if you send an email to [email protected] asking for you build sheet on the VIN they will send it to you.  I did that yesterday after I put down my deposit and they sent it within two hours.  The build sheet will tell you when the truck was built.  If it's been sitting on the lot a while they will probably be motivated to move it.  Especially since it sounds like it was ordered the nigh of their Christmas party ?

You may have already found it but the educator pricing builder has a detailed build configurator so you can go in armed with exactly what the educator price is on that truck.  And they aren't allowed to charge more than $75 for the doc fee.

I think you stand to get them to move a fair amount below the educator pricing since the truck is a double cab.  I'd try to get them to do invoice minus holdback.  Holdback is 3% of MSRP (not including destination).  When I was looking at a RAM Longhorn diesel the dealer was going to order one for us at invoice less holdback.  Problem was only 2k in FCA incentives.

Thanks! I actually did try Carvana and their offer was within $100 of what the dealer is offering me on trade. And if I go that route, I don't get the trade in credit on sales tax. I'm not thrilled with the trade in value - thought it would be higher with all the COVID stuff. But I have had Carvana and two dealers quote me nearly the same thing so this is likely the market for it. I'm trading in an extended cab and they hold less value anyways.

The quote I received today was:

MRSP: $54,180

Dealer Fee: $130

Educator Discount: ($3,128)

GM Discount ($3,500)

GM Card Points ($1,500)

Trade-In ($26,000) (2017 Silverado LT Z71 5.3 4x4 double cab, 65k miles)

Total Financed: $21,721.82 after interest

All in all doesn't seem like a terrible deal to me. My pride is hurt worse than my wallet since I thought mine was worth more haha. I'm still making payments on my Corvette and I didn't want to have two payments at once but I figure it'll be good to trade while the market is hot.

I'm looking for a unicorn and they have it. I searched Chevy's inventory and it's, literally, the only one with the color and options I want within 2,000 miles. I thought about ordering a 2021 but I don't see the use in paying another $3,500 for wireless Android Auto while I watch my trade value drop. I told the salesman I would take a night and pray about it - I always try to before big purchases. Think I might just pull the trigger tomorrow.

Wireless Android Auto? I wonder if I can add that to my 2020. Trying to use the wired version has resulted in sudden disconnects. I gave up on using it during my cross country trip from Virginia Beach, VA to San Diego, CA. If I can't add it I'll just upgrade to GM navigation.

Can't upgrade to GM navigation anymore, dealer told me I could then I found out you can get the SD card, but GM isn't offering anymore activation codes.

Wireless AA won't be backwards compatible as far as I know.

I know on Ford it wasn't compatible because they all used 2.4 GHZ wifi.

Does GM's unit recognize 5GHZ signals?

Mine discos for no reason too. At first I thought it was my cable, so I pulled my brand one out of my phone box. Does the same thing. Then refuses to reconnect. Sometimes I have to even reboot my phone.

Very frustrating when you don't have signal to get navigation back up.

You can upgrade to GM navigation still. You just have to go elsewhere. I dug into this last month. GM has abandoned the navigation upgrade program. However, an independent company is using GM hardware to upgrade IOS radios to have navigation. www.gm-navigation.com

So, did you buy it?  That truck is a unicorn and it will surely appeal to someone else as well!

I did! I'm picking it up tomorrow morning. A new thread will follow.

I’m curious if anyone has suggestions/experiences with any of the Phoenix area dealers? I’ll be looking to make a purchase in the next month or so, have been eyeing up an AT4 or Elevation X31 package. I’ve mainly been looking at Coulter, Liberty, and Henry Brown; however, I was not sure if anyone had experience with any of them, or who may be the most willing to move on price?

Talking to a dealer now about a LT Trail Boss. Still working on trade but have been initially quoted $47,619 out the door to Virginia. That includes bed liner, running boards, and all weather mats. Total discounts were $12232. Seems like the best deal I am going to get now. Just depends on the trade in value. Any thoughts?

IMO, anything over 11k off msrp is a great deal.

Well they just called me back. They had a pricing error and it was going to be quite a bit higher. Oh well. Back to the waiting game.

    • You could try a used 1, they used that engine in the Astro vans, Plenty of them in the boneyard. Look for a wrecked or rotted 1 so the chance that it was scrapped for that reason and not a mechanical issue will be greater

    • My centre console USB ports haven’t been working and the one in the glovebox is starting to act up. When I plug my phone into the cord the radio will go black and stop playing, and the CarPlay is inconsistent.   I checked the fuses and they were fine. I changed the USB port out and still nothing. Hoping for some advice on what I should be looking at.
    • The truck is a 1995 Chevrolet S10 Blazer, 4.3 VIN "W" engine. :cracks knuckles:   On a whim - because I needed a headache - this truck was for sale so I stopped to take a look. Doesn't run. Well, it does, but barely. Long crank, choppy idle, bad misfire(s), it REEKS of fuel. I can DO this..I'm thinking. Diamond in the rough. One owner until last year. A young guy is selling it, he bought it 6 months ago. It stranded him more than once, he's got a newborn. It was in the shop 10 days ago and he "thinks" they said it needs a new fuel injection system. He can't put any more money into it, needs it gone. I was thinking of upgrading my Macbook, which is a total want, not a need. For less than the price of a new laptop I can have fun for months tinkering on this truck and enjoying it. I'm taking this truck home. The guy was beyond thrilled, his wife was there, she thanked me profusely, I could tell they were hurting. They seemed like good people in a bind.   Some parts, a wash, maybe a set of tires, and I can have a few months of fun and then turn it for beer money (or the next project).   Sure enough, there's a work order from a shop last week in the INCHES of paperwork on this truck dating back to when the first owner bought it. They put a new distributor in it, fuel injection work describes basically opening the plenum and putting it back together. He said he couldn't afford any more work so he had them button it up and that's when he put it up for sale.   I'm not well versed in 4.3. I did discover 1995 uses the 1992-1995 SCPI "Spider" injector which is riddled with issues from splitting lines, clogged or cracked poppet valves and plastic spider legs that crumble over time. Cool. I'll just order me a ne---. Oh, the auto parts store doesn't have it? Rock Auto doesn't have it. eBay? $$$$$$ for used. These are UNAVAILABLE period end of story unless you know "a guy" who's still got one in a box somewhere.   Can't upgrade to the '96-'04 injector, it's a different plenum, wiring/pinout and sensor config.   There are a few kinda "know a guy" -guy rebuild services for these injectors out there for about $350. Okay, Okay... I'd like to know if anyone has used them? Anyone got a lead on these crappy 92-95 spiders?   I also don't want to send MY spider to Narnia and back without knowing if that's truly the problem. I guess I'll need to pull apart the plenum and do some digging.   I was also thrown for a loop. This 1995 model year truck has an OBD-II connector. The interface is decidedly not OBD-II. I can read and reset trouble codes and view live data, but there's not a lot of data. Like misfire count and on what cylinder, that's not there. It's OBD-1.5.   Nothing is ever easy. Now it makes sense why this guy wanted to disappear this thing for cheap. I'm guessing the shop told him the injector is toast, the part is unobtainable and they're not going to sort sending the thing to a rando offering rebuild service on craigslist, and the kid likely can't be without a working car for 3 weeks even if they'd facilitate that.   Experience with these early SCPI's? Stories? Things to check? Sympathy? (..Nah...)   This can sit until I sort it. But I haven't had a problem with a vehicle I couldn't easily solve in a long time.
