Sad part is this thread starts in 2019!  I have a 2021 that has had the infotainment freeze up on a few occasions.  A few times in 20 months isnt a huge dealbreaker, but IT HAPPENS AT THE WORST POSSIBLE TIME.  I’m not talking just the radio,  but the GPS maps freezing up.  A convoluted highway ramp exchange coming up and FREEZE.  The only remedy is pulling over, shutting off the truck, and waiting  for it to TIME OUT before restarting and hoping it fixes itself.  So far it has, but… what a nuisance.  You would have thought they could have fixed this stuff already!!   INFOTAINMENT is $#!t.

This is certainly not what we like to hear, Theynine.  Please know, customer satisfaction is extremely important to us. Our team would be more than happy to take a closer look into the concerns with your 2021 truck. To do so, please send an email to [email protected] with ATTN: Theynine/GM Trucks in the subject line.

Please include your contact information, VIN, a brief description of your concern, and the name of your preferred dealership. We look forward to hearing from you. To learn more about GM’s privacy policy, please visit https://www.gm.com/privacy-statement.html.

I'll plug my phone in and everything works fine for about 5 minutes then my music pauses and the screen freezes for about 15 minutes then comes back on. It is an absolute joke. Anyone have this problem?

I just bought a 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 Elevation and only had it a little over two weeks and the infotainment system would freeze up every morning, I learned how to factory reset it because nothing worked except the steering wheel controls. This has been happening since, I finally was able to get the service  department to get it in, now I have to leave it with them for a week to run teat and see, I’m discussed with this especially after spending all this money on it.

I have a 2019 Tahoe with the same issue. Has anyone found any sort of fix?

@GMCustomerService

I sent an email with details, pictures, and even my VIN #. Have not heard back.

And you wont. Pretty sure the @GMCustomerService is just a bot. the only responses people get back are "canned replies" If GM really cared about customer service they would put out fixes instead of just ignoring them and waiting for the product life to expire.

@lennybg I suspect you are correct.

It is odd that there are no real solutions in this thread and that most people who post only do so once and then never again.

I know a lawyer who does class action suits against car companies.  I will ask him if these problems have already been to court.
