Any more updates on this for the 2019’s? Those that have purchased, are you still glad you did?

I have one on my AT4 and really like it. Totally different truck with it on there.

I imagine they work well.

Made my own custom pedal commander on my '16 from a paint stirrer stick. Seems on the previous gen there was about 1/4" play between the plastic pedal bracket and the firewall; movement would bog down when the pedal was first pressed until it contacted the firewall. Many posts on this forum praised the paint stick - but it made a big difference in response -sorry I waited a year before trying it.

The '19s fixed the bracket problem but the difference in adding a pedal commander appears to provide a similar faster pedal response.

Has anyone installed a Pedal Commander whose truck has the clunky 8 speed when shifting between 1st/2nd?  I'm interested in installing it, but I already have to somewhat baby the throttle to minimize the clunk effect, which would defeat the purpose of spending $260.

I realize what the PC does, so I know it won't make my issue go away, I just wouldn't want to spend $250 to make it worse (or at least "feel" worse).

I am thinking of ordering with the intent of returning within 30 days if I cannot reap any benefits.

Just looking to see if anyone else has come across a similar issue.

Same issue here, very annoyed by it... now, I start my truck remotely as I walk towards it. Warms up the transmission and it gets a lot smoother when I drive it away.

I installed the peddle commander on my 2020 3500 Duramax and wow what a difference. It really woke it up! No lag and crisp shifts through that 10 speed transmission.

Ive read that it doesnt add hp or torque but better throttle response. If your truck is equipped with sport mode then I think this is a waste of ?

Sport mode equipped truck is a waste of sport mode in a truck. I have it and feel no difference in daily start up mode to sport.

It does not add any hp or torque but the added throttle response is night and day different on my duramax.

I got it yesterday and I installed it right away, it took 5 min and it was done. It was commented above that if you have sport mode this is a waste of money. I have sport mode and WOW, night and day difference. Sport mode does not come close. Glad I bought it, gives a nice KICK when you want it.

They do make pedal response feel great, no doubt.  Be aware though, GM issued TSB #13-08-116-001E: AFTERMARKET ALDL OR DLC INTERFACE DEVICES CAUSING MULTIPLE ISSUES.  Basically is states that if any aftermarket ALDL connector device is installed and causes problems or is detected at the dealership then it will be entered into your warranty as "suspected tampering" IE VOIDED WARRANTY.

Can this happen?  Absolutely.  Recently bought my wife a 2017 Tahoe with low miles, it went in to limp mode a week or so after we bought it and left my wife and kids stuck.  I brought it to my shop and discovered it had a pedal commander (which I was unaware of) that had caused communication issues.  Fortunately the fix for me was simply to remove it, and clear the codes.  Had it been ran through the dealer, there would be a risk of voided warranty.

Also, I had a Hypertech on my 2019 Silverado for tire size correction.  I had intermittent communication failures that almost mirrored the description in the TSB perfectly, which left me stranded three times.  After removing the device, truck is back to normal.  Again, had that made it to the dealership, my truck would be flagged for suspected tampering.

I don't like it, t just making ya'll aware.  I am batting 0/2 with ALDL devices.

I like the banks version better then pedal commander. Has more fail safes built in and made in America.

I can't afford "Made in America" with all the tariffs Trump is imposing on Canada  ?
