2019 RST 4wd Wheel and Tire question

Hey guys thanks in advance for any answers you can give.

I just bought the truck last week and couldn't be happier. If I just level the truck on the front what wheel and tire can I get away with. I was thinking 20x12 wheel with 33x12.5 tires. I'm worried about rubbing and sticking out to far.

What do you guys think?

I believe you would rub with that setup. Some guys are rubbing with 10" wide wheels and 33s so you would be even wider. You might have better luck with a smaller tire but I think the 12 width wheel will still rub.

You will rub with that setup. Leveling the front of an RST would make the front about the height of a stock Trailboss. I am running a 305/55R20 (33.5x12.5) on a 20x9 0mm offset rim on my stock height Trailboss and it is rubbing for me slightly. A 20x12 rim has a lot more negative offset, sticking the tire out more. You need to run a smaller width rim such as a 20x9 in order to fit a larger tire on the truck but your biggest tire will probably be a 33x11.5 without rubbing, although it may vary slightly depending on the manufacturer specs of the tire (some are smaller or larger than the size printed on them). Below are some pictures for reference of the rubbing and how far they stick out. Any other questions, let me know.

Do you think a 20x9 will look ok with 275/60/20 tires? And will the 20x9's stick out past the body at all?

I know to mentioned aftermarket wheels, but just an FYI-you can get 275/65-20 on a leveled RST (there’s a guy in the forum who did it on a LTZ). I’ve also talked to a 4wd shop who puts 2” rough country leveling kits on them and runs 35x12.50-20’s on stock wheels, which they stated requires minor trimming of plastic on the front end.

It will look good but it probably wont stick out past the body, more like flush with the fender. That size translates to about 33x10.8 which is the same width as stock, just 1 inch taller. You could probably run a 285 60 20 with no rubbing. That's a 33.5x11.2. Also a 295 55 20 which converts to a 33x11.5

Sticking out past the body doesn't look too cool in a few years when the paint is all chipped up. Taller tires adds ground clearance. Wider tires looks cool but usually results in worse performance in snow, more rolling resistance, slower acceleration, etc.

Hey i Have an rst with 2 inch lift and I want to put 33 tires 20 10 Rim with a neg 12 offset on my truck I want to know if they would rub and if I would need a spacer clear the caliber

I have a levelled 2019 Sierra Elevation with 275/65R20’s absolutely no issues at all.

I mean we’re talking a very small increase in diameter going from 60 to 65 aspect ratio.
