Said goodbye to the truck - bittersweet

Just saying goodbye to the truck family for now.  I was on here for awhile but remained mostly quiet; but I received plenty of good information from this forum, also hope I helped some others.

Saturday I traded in my '15 Denali and stayed in the GM family for now. The new daily is a gorgeous '18 Cadillac CTS-V. It's a bittersweet step and was odd to drive away from the truck a last time, it was my 4th GM truck and first vehicle I bought new.

I loved my truck, and I took pride in ensuring I took good care of it, but I also was pretty disappointed with it's faults (as all vehicles have). I loved the power the 6.2l had, but the 8spd transmission/torque converter were garbage in the '15. I can't say I will miss the many noises, pops, clunks, rattles, and jerks my truck made, and I ended with only 31k miles on it.

Maybe I will be on here again someday, but if someone here is in the DFW area, my truck is for sale at a dealer in Grapevine and has been well taken care of all it's life.

All I can say now is the truck is in the rear view as the CTS-V drives away... fast... very fast. :)

Don't they kick you out of Texas if you don't have a truck?  Maybe you have an older one hanging around? J/K ?

Nice ride.  I as an '08 CTS before my 15 GMC.  Great car.  I just needed something bigger and I really like trucks.

Beautiful car!!!

If you are going to get rid of a truck, awesome replacement!!!

Might as well post some more pics, like to see the interior.

Congratulations! Beautiful car!   My dealer recently loaned me the boss's Cadillac for a day.  Only money separates me from having one (in addition to my truck)  in my driveway!  The beautiful thing about borrowing a Cadillac is you never have to check for options.  They come equipped with everything found on a Denali  and a whole lot more.  (The leather in a Cadillac makes me wonder how they can call my truck's upholstery leather.  They both suit their respective vehicles but are not the same material!)

I wont knock you OP.  I call that a trading up

I did the same thing but decided I needed the best of both worlds.  And I got the Harley when I need the wind therapy

Thanks! still need to take it out for some better photos, but here are few just from messing around in the garage.  The interior has carbon fiber accents and is a mix of leather and suede materials. It comfortably fits people in the back, and it's quite long so the trunk is a decent amount of space.

Thanks! Nice V! I really wanted white as well, they are a bit hard to come by. I do like the black, but it's a pita.  I do want to get a project truck, like an old C10 eventually if the wife will allow it.

Love the V...but I need a truck for truck things (towing my boat, hauling stuff in the bed on occasion, long family trips, etc.).  When is why I have a 2nd vehicle.

I considered picking up a CTS V coupe when I replace my car but they hold their value too damn well.
