I had my front diff replaced and after about 1000km the noise is back. I am so unbelievably frustrated. I don't know what to do next.

When did you have the work done for differential replacement??  Just wondering if they used new engineered parts for the fix or the old fix which does nothing.

They replaced the differential about 3 weeks ago. Apparently it was the newly engineered version but it appears that's not the case. I still have an open case with GM Canada. I'll be calling them next week and requesting a new truck.

Good to know I have the same issue but all the dealer ever tells me is they are waiting for parts. I have an open case with GM currently.

Been two months. Still waiting on GM to finalize my lemon case. Taking way longer than this process should.

GM sucks!  They just wait and play games hoping that you’ll get impatient enough to settle for whatever bread crumb they give you.

This is my second lemon in two years. If I wouldn’t loose so much equity in the truck I would go with a different brand.

I hear ya with that. I came from a lemon ford only to have a lemon Chevy. I decided to take cash settlement and keep the truck. Will probably trade it in in a year or two. I do like the Chevy better than the ford but I should have never bought the first year. I’ll give it a couple years to work it out

Had my truck in at the dealer today. They were told to replace the stub shaft again. It was replaced already last year and I just had a complete diff replaced. Of course there are no parts available and they don't have any kind of ETA as to when they might be. I will be calling GM daily until I am offered a buyback. It's been a year with this same noise, I am beyond fed up.

So I called the dealer and they told me the parts are in to fix the cv axle noise.  I asked what parts where they planning to replace exactly ( I know what needs replacing), the service advisor said there was a bunch of parts in a tote that have not been unpacked yet so he did not know.  I am not confident the new parts will fix it considering what I read on this forum but I guess they have to give it a try.   Does anyone have any suggestions when I get to the dealer what specifics I should ask them?  Should they be replacing the stub shaft also?  Will they drain the old diff fluid out and replace or does this not need to happen?  Any info is appreciated.

Question for the thread... are the GMC Sierras having this issue as well? I would think so but I don’t recall seeing anyone with a GMC in this thread with this issue. Could be wrong

I have a 2019 GMC Sierra Elevation edition and I had this issue.  They replaced parts yesterday so I am waiting to see if it is really fixed or if it will show back up in a few hundred miles. I guess it is wait and see.

Sun runner. Please keep us updated. They are trying to fix mine, but I am completely fed up. Holding out for the moment.

Several dealerships are refusing to take them in on trade here, one toyota dealership is out of tundras here and lot full of gms. Dump it whichever way you can.

So took my truck in today for the differential noise. Received a call saying gm will not even allow them to order the parts for the repair. Does this sound correct to anyone?
