We all enjoy banter.    I enjoy hearing from you and all of the regular contributors to this thread but I've yet to see a moderator caution over "banter".  When  anyone casts aspersions towards you or a friend, the least effective retort is to return the same.  Sometimes a sharp personal return punch can be cathartic but short lived. An informed, positive response will be far more successful in supporting your point of view.   Txab's cautions don't follow posts infused with banter

I'm not much for banter, discussion, debate. I have no desire to convince anyone their wrong, you believe what you want. What I dislike is rambling on due to egos or got to have the last word.

Oh Donstar, thank you ever so much for the quote. You have a good heart, there is no doubt.

"cast aspersions,"

To "cast aspersions," which means to make unfair or disparaging remarks about someone or something. It is often used to describe criticism that harms a person's reputation.

So as long as the rocks thrown only hit this old dog....... 🤔

Disparaging remark is a remark according to The GNU version of the Collaborative International Dictionary of English is:

1.) Expressing a low opinion of;

FairFair means being marked by impartiality and honesty, free from bias or favoritism.

Looks like the rocks are headed towards this old dog. 😏

Lets have a look see.

Customboss disagrees with anyone who doesn't agree with him, which means he disagrees with EVERY EXPERT and LAB not bearing his name, in the field...and criticizes them all and anyone who prefers the methods they promote. I happen to be one that agrees with those experts (most of the time) and so he has repeatedly cast doubts on and belittled my work experience and my education, my earned opinion and advice to others and even has PM'd a PHYSICAL THREAT.

He courted me like a Prom date to joint his club, couldn't do without my "expertise" then put me to the wall and shot me for exercising it and refusing to allow him to continue his BAIT AND BAT.

My response to this absurdity was to leave his club and my works behind for him to mall and belittle (he did not disappoint) and  state that I wouldn't let him grease a Radio Flyer wagons wheels following his insufferable behavior. That he had turned his Club into the thing he claimed to hate. Was that UNFAIR? UNTRUE? Was it dishonest? The punches I threw was COUNTER.

Proverbs 20:11

Even a child is known by his actions,

Whether his behavior is pure and right.

Look to the posted images section for the pack reaction

Point, set and match

Now was that the best ME? It was not. The Radio Flyer comment was catty. :(  I could stand there and let him strike me until I have no cheek left to turn. I left the room and he followed me...EVERYWHERE and his little band. Fact is I've used every tool available and he/they just keeps coming.

He has sought out and destroyed my every thread. He's on a mission.... FAIR has no part in this

When you bite on the bait of pleasure; make sure there isn't a hook in it.

Thomas Jefferson

Me thinks it applies to accepting invitations from those whose favorite hobbies include "Bait and Bat".

Fall for it once and your adventurous and unassuming.

Fall for it twice and your forgiving and eternally hopeful.

Fall for it thrice and you need your stupid.

I do not consider myself stupid. I do consider myself forgiving. Not the same thing as naively trusting.

No!

I’ll close it then.

I can believe this chart is accurate based on the DIC mileage readings I received in a once owned '91 Sedan deVille which had the most accurate DIC mileage reading of any GM car I've owned. Based on measurements taken on the same stretch of road the sweet spot according to the instant mpg for this car was 68 degrees F, any warmer and outside ventilation had to go replaced by a/c. The instant mpg reading was so sensitive that even at 66 degrees the mpg was less than 68.

I for one would like to see the two of you call a truce to this pissing contest. No one except maybe the two of you enjoys reading this bullshit!  P.S.  If you have to hate on one another, there's always the PM method, after all some of us have virgin eyes 😆.

I'd love to @garagerog. I have him ignored and blocked six ways to Sunday. I don't write in the threads he starts. A courtesy I am denied. I have his number blocked on my phone. Blocked to PM me. I don't want to talk to him. Don't to see him. Don't want to know him.

But I expect you've notice the creative "Work Arounds" he's used to 'Be Seen' and continue his "Bait and Bat", and there is no shortage of individuals willing to quote his replies to me with whom I have no particular issues. He has manage to derail almost every thread I've created. He now has an entourage who tag along and tag his every word. They are all blocked.

I've let a few of them, including him, back in from time to time on encouragement from better angles. Never do they fail to disappoint.  They have options. Don't read my stuff. Block me. Ignore me and I've even suggested they do. I expect a sky writer any day now. He will respond to this 😏

Frankly I don't know what more I can morally do to deter this STALKER.

Like a jilted ex-girlfriend, you keep coming back to read what he has to say and react. "Ignore" isn't just a button, it means you no longer pay attention and certainly don't let him rent that apartment over your eyebrows for free. Let it go, or make up with him, but FFS the dramatic posts have us all rolling our eyes.

    • Conditions for Meeting a Cold Start   The ignition voltage is between 10 and 15 V. The barometric pressure (BARO) is more than 75 kPa. The engine coolant temperature (ECT) at start-up is less than 42°C (108°F). The intake air temperature (IAT) is between 2–32°C (36–90°F). The engine is OFF for greater than 6 hours or the following conditions must be met: The start-up IAT minus start-up ECT are within 12°C (22°F). The start-up ECT minus start-up IAT are within 50°C (90°F). Fuel level is between 25 and 75 %.   Circuit/System Verification Verify that all I/M System Status indicators report YES, and that no I/M Test DTCs are present. If any I/M Test DTCs are set Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle. If no I/M Test DTCs are set All OK. Inspection/Maintenance (I/M) System Set Procedure   Warning: Refer to Road Test Warning. Note: Do NOT touch the accelerator pedal until told to do so. A change in TP Sensor angle or an increase in engine speed may invalidate this portion of the test.   Note: An I/M Test DTC will not be stored or erased from the ECU except at the end of trip processing, which occurs 5 s after ignition OFF.   Ensure that the vehicle meets the conditions for a cold start listed above. If the EVAP I/M System Status indicator displays NO, perform the EVAP Service bay test if applicable. Turn OFF all of the accessories; HVAC system, other electrical loads, including aftermarket/add-on equipment, etc., and open the hood.   Set the vehicle parking brake and ensure the vehicle is in park for automatic transmission or neutral for manual transmission.   Start and idle the engine for 2 min.   Close the hood, release the parking brake and Accelerate at part throttle to 72–80 km/h (45–50 mph) with this speed maintained until the engine reaches operating temperature, 8–10 min.   Continue operation under these conditions for an additional 6 min.   Accelerate at part throttle to 90 km/h (55 mph) with this speed maintained for 2 min.   Release the accelerator pedal for at least 10 s. This will allow the vehicle to enter the decel fuel cut off.   Safely stop the vehicle, with the engine in drive for automatic or neutral with the clutch pedal depressed and parking brake applied for manual. Allow the vehicle to idle for 2 min.   Shift the vehicle to park for automatic and neutral for manual. Turn OFF the ignition and exit the vehicle. Do NOT disturb the vehicle for 45 min.   Observe the Inspection/Maintenance (I/M) System Status with a scan tool. All of the I/M System Status indicators should display YES.   If the EVAP I/M System Status indicator displays NO, turn OFF the ignition, ensure that the vehicle meets the conditions for a cold start, and repeat steps 6-11 three more times, or until the EVAP I/M System Status indicator transitions to YES. If the indicator continues to display NO, refer to the Inspection/Maintenance (I/M) System DTC Table to identify the DTCs that did not run.   If any of the I/M System Status indicators display NO, refer to the Inspection/Maintenance (I/M) System DTC Table for the indicator which did not display YES. The I/M System DTC Table identifies the DTCs associated with each I/M System Status Indicator.   Observe the I/M Test DTC information with a scan tool. Verify there are no I/M Test DTCs present. If an I/M Test DTC is set, diagnose the DTC using the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle and refer to Inspection/Maintenance System Check.   Observe the engine DTC information with a scan tool. Verify no DTCs are present. If a DTC is set, diagnose using the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle. After repairs, perform the Inspection/Maintenance Complete System Set Procedure to verify no further DTCs are set.       Looks like one procedure to me.  Repeated as necessary.
