I do not have the autodim mirror.  Mine is the same as yours.  I ran the MirrorTap up into the area that houses the Homelink buttons and found power/ground in there to tap into.

Blendmount came directly from them.

Ahhhhhh... I don't have the Homelink in my truck.  Oh well, I have it hardwired and working anyways, I was just curious.

Escort 9500ix on BlendMount with MirrorTap.  Has served me well for many years in 3 vehicles so far!

That 9500 came out right after I got my redline. Do you like it enough you’d buy it again if you could redo it? I’ve thought about the newer redline or one that has gps in general as mine is pretty old. That one has the auto mark for falses around town doesn’t it?

Yes sir, I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.  Of course, I think I paid $500ish for it when it was new....they can be had for $250ish now.

It does have the GPS-based false signal lockout.  If you pass the same GPS coordinates 3 times and the same frequency is detected, it locks out the alert.  The detector gets quieter as you own it.  Mine is several years old and has learned my common routes over time.  It is virtually silent now, but when it alerts, it's a cop!

The best defense against a speeding ticket is CRUISE CONTROL.  Usually, 5-10 over and they don't mess with you, also depends on how much traffic there is on the road too.  I haven't had a speeding ticket in over 30 years, was 18, 53 in 35 (tried claiming dyslexic, didn't work, even though I was, at the time).  I'm in NO rush, cruise is set at the posted speed limit, and no faster than 65.

Escort live + Waze + rabbit = success.

I rarely even really speed in the truck, I just like knowing where the Leo’s are. I’m seriously on the State Farm safe driver with onstar, I’m not messing up my discount lol.

Looks like you already picked up a detector but just wanted to throw in a couple of thoughts for any one else looking...

Escort is the best!  Not only for their products, but because they stand behind their products.  I have an Escort Max and had an issue with the mount not holding the detector.  I sent the detector back to Escort and even though it was no longer under warranty, they fixed it for free and only asked I pay for the shipping.  I have another Escort detector that I ordered a new suction cup mount - when I received it, the mount was damaged in shipping.  Sent me a replacement, no questions asked.

If you or anyone else is considering another detector in the future, also look into one that has red light and speed camera locations built in.  You get an audible warning when approaching an intersection with red light camera or speed camera that may save you from a unfair ticket.

And look into the dash camera Escort just put out.  It piggy-backs onto the detector mount and uses the same RJ14 plug (one power cord for both) as the detector.  I have it also and it's awesome!

They are about useless these days. There are systems that work but cost $5,000 or more and have many remote mounted sensors and jammers built in. Like the k40 best on the market.

not in my area..... oregon......  i find that in oregon, washington and california, LEO drives around with their radar on, regardless if they are sitting and trying to trap.... so my RD always goes off, notifying me that they are close..... priceless

Haha someone else that’s speeding. See them fly by, slow down and let them get a bit ahead of you but still in eyesight, then pick your pace back up. You can use their brake lights to verify apps/detector or something they didn’t pickup.
