Blind Turns

All pickup headlights suck so that's why the ratings are lower since they added headlights to the testing.  TFL did a video on pickup safety ratings.  Some missed the pick+ or whatever it was specifically b/c of the headlights.  I think the Ram Limited got it b/c it was the only one that had headlights that moved.  Cars have had this ability for 15-20+ years why hasn't it "trickled down" to pickups yet?  All these other stupid "safety" features yet headlights are only now beginning to be improved.

You’re absolutely correct, my 19 BMW X5 super bright LED headlights move with the steering and I believe use lasers on the ground or leveling gyro raising it up and down per road level. I’ll stick with my LED headlights and look into upgrading the fog lights, either with swapping out the whole pod or wider bulb beams.

What is the point to this feature? I turn the lights on and as soon as you put it in drive they turn off? What’s the point to these??

That's interesting. I didn't know they turned off in drive. I have only tested them in park.

I suppose if your truck doesn’t have them, you could buy the mirrors and maybe wire them to a switch. They do crank out a lot of light at a wide angle.

That's a great idea. Now how can I get my hands on some cheap that I could install and wire up manually.

One of the very few things I miss about the POS '19 Ram Sport I had. Turn the steering wheel below a certain speed and cornering light came on, whether you turned on a signal light or not.

I too am curious of what value the task lighting adds. It would be cool if Pgamboa could build a harness that would activate these with whichever blinker that was activated.

Mine has them and I had to play around to figure out how to turn them on. They are bright but they seem rather useless... Why not just aim your headlights at whatever you would use them for. Not sure, but I miss the blinker lights in the mirrors.

I second the blinker mirrors. I had the blinker mirrors in my Yukon Denali and would really like to have them on my Silverado. I guess because of the blind-spot monitoring, it was deemed redundant. A bunch of economy cars have them now, but I guess those little cars need all of the safety features they can put on them.

They’d be an annoyance and piss off other drivers if they were blinker mirrors. They are insanely bright at night, you don’t need some bright ass light blinking at you, in white at night. It will confuse The hell out of people and cops will likely ticket you.
