Service Steering Column Message

I’ve been hearing some noise from the steering column when first getting in and turning etc.  I thought a message was popping up but could never quite catch it. Today it popped up and said “Service Steering Column Lock”

My traction control light keeps popping up and the truck is acting as though it’s losing traction (can feel it in the pedals) when turning left at times. Don’t know if the two are related.

I got the same warning when I first bought my truck.  It hasn’t shown back up in several weeks but I also have the steering column noise.  I’m gonna take mine in for service when I get home from my trip in a few weeks.  I have service tpms light and the emissions check engine light.  I also have a hard downshift when highway speeds and let off the pedal.  Still leaps and bounds better than my ford!!
