Mirror Lights for Reverse on GMC 3500HD Denali

I just bought my 2020 Denali and when I was parking it last night I noticed the lights on the mirrors didn't come on when I put it in reverse. The manual doesn't help much. I looked at some other forums and diodes get brought up a lot on the older models. I am hoping it's just a settings issue that I am overlooking. Any input would be appreciated.

you have to press the cargo light button but as stated above i think there is a bypass for that.......i just use the cargo button at night, as daytime i dont need it

Boost Auto Parts has a kit to make this happen and install is a breeze.  Very happy with mine!

I installed the diodes on my '15 and removed them after constantly being blinded when using the easy exit lighting function and backing out of my garage with the mirrors folded in.  The kit may be different now but mine jumped the reverse light circuit to the cargo light circuit (which controls the LEDs).  On my '20 I just use the cargo lamp button if I need the extra illumination.
