Is bead balancing worth $49 extra?

Stick on weights are standard issue.

I've always thought with the stick ons you can see how bad it is if it is bad.

Or are the beads preferred so you don't have too see the stick on weights?

What do you guys think?

I might go for bead balancing at that price...never been given the option but I hate seeing the dang weights on my wheels...

I don't see weights on mine. I didn't pay for anything special that I know of. I think what they do is mount the weights on the rear of the wheels. Unless they did that bead balancing that you are talking about and they didn't tell me, Lol!!

How accurate are they?

I really don't want to see them either. Wheels are too purty.

Yeah I've always been VERY pleased with my tire shop, but lately for whatever reason they've had to use a lot of weights and I still feel some wobble between balancing. Sounds like you've got a solid tire shop either way!

Don't know, but like I said at that price I'd be in, wouldn't even hesitate!

I guess they do good work or the Yokohama's balance very well. My tires have zero vibration. They balanced like stock tires. I love Yoko's!

I’m interested in the bead balancing myself. I’ve only recently heard of it and road force style. I’ll be powder coating the inner lips of some larger wheels soon and don’t really want to see the lead. I’d like to hear what you think of it if you get it. Or from anyone that’s ran it. Also nice choice on the McGaughys, I’m actually replacing my BDS kit with there 7-9 SS kit with front torsion struts, rear traction bars and uca’s. 890E66D4-84C5-4839-9A25-783B14C40DA4.jpeg.e86f5c8792581118756c00f9b2abb15d.jpeg

In the end, make sure your truck is functional, going to high and you’ll get sick of it fast and WILL put a damper on your marriage too. Good luck, looking forward to your end results.

Sweet. What color are you powder coating ?

I seen your truck on here before and thought it was show quality. Then I read thru your build over on Silverado Sierra. Wow. Very sanitary. Now you're redoing it. Obviously going higher. What wheels and tires?

I opted to get my tires bead balanced for $49 it was probably well worth it.

I will still be using my same colors, the majority of the suspension components will be the candy teal. Couple of the smaller pieces will be the Monaco copper. Thank you my friend I greatly appreciate it. Definitely going higher but not by much just a couple more inches but those inches matter! At least that’s what she tells me lol i’m not a huge fan of cutting into bumpers at least the metal portion so for clearance purposes because I caught a collaboration/sponsorship on a set of forged 26x14 wheels so I’ll be running Fury Tires in 37x14.5r26. And I really would love to hear what you think about the beads! After seeing this post I put a post up on Instagram questioning who was running them and got the majority of positive feedback on them. Now after reading a bunch of different tech articles I’m trying to figure out which is the best ceramic, plastic or glass. I wish you the best of luck with your build this thing is gonna look bad ass!

Lol, you’ve been working on your truck for years, always upgrading versus newly beginning lift. Your truck has extreme passion and dedication far surpassing the majority of us and though it’s not for me, I highly respect the time, effort and funds you’ve invested into your long and never ending build [emoji6]

Oh I know you do my friend! I know it’s not your specific taste but you’ve always been such an awesome friend to me always putting in a good word and I appreciate the hell out of you! So many Good people on here with rad builds, that’s why I keep coming back to check up on you guys and what new cool stuff you are doing. Honestly between you and I I thought it was pretty much wrapped up and then talked myself into a wheel sponsorship one thing led to another all of a sudden I’m taking apart my truck again haha there’s a possibility there’s mentally something wrong with me lol
