I just placed the order with Custom Offsets.
McGaughys 7"-9" basic kit.
Add a leaf kit.
20x10 -19 Scorpion SC29 wheels 
Nitto Ridge Grappler 
37x12.50x20LT
 
I was going to go with a offset close to zero but I didn't like anything enough to pull the trigger on. These will stick out some I'm not sure how much but not as much as a -44 with a 13.50 tire like most of the younger dudes are running. I'll probably have to get the wheel flares as much as I don't want to I think they are kind of ugly but so are Rock chips.
My Black paint is already pissed about this[emoji857]
 
 
 

It’s going to look great and keep an eye on those Ridge Grapplers, their sipping wears out quick. Post up soon after and good luck

I looked through the gallery for hours. Nothing in there exactly like what I ordered but a lot of close enough trucks to get a good idea.  I pretty much knew what I wanted I just had to commit.

The only thing I'm not sure about now is if I want to run the McGaughys at 8" or 9" . Them 37's are huge. I may go to 9" and have to order new UCA's

 So now I have to sit and wait. 

I probably won't install right away since its the dead of winter here in MN. Yeehaw.

Yep, 37's are massive. Are you regearing the truck?And angles above 6" lift are crazy. You'd probably need new UCA's even at 8". Something that big needs gears, UCA's & a brake kit. I use my truck as a daily driver and as much as I wanted a big lift and really big tires, I decided not to do it because in order for everything to run right and last, I would have dumped a ton more money into it. I opted for a 4.5" and 33's. But man, I'd love to do what you are doing!

McGaughys says you don't need the new UCA's unless you go up to 9". The diff drop that comes with the kit is a full 7 +" drop so your angles are flat as stock. That's one of the reasons I went with the McGaughys. And the strut is a new longer strut. No big huge spacer . 

I'll regear it down the road my wife gets a little cranky when I drop 5 grand here and 2 grand there every Christmas.

I would have looked at Hostile's selection of wheels. I've had several sets and never any issues with chrome peeling. 

I don't really run them in the salt but they have good quality chrome wheels and a nice selection of designs and sizes.

Just wish they would offer 10" wide in there Forged line.

Fuels are nice. Nothing wrong with them at all. I would have gone with the Fuel Triton. Very similar to what I ordered.

Hostile has some killer wheels. that Lacey blair chick is pretty easy to look at too.

I was looking at the Hostile Sprockets but they couldn't give an answer on availability.

Could be months they said.

I think the Scorpions were a good choice for a $300 wheel.

I tried to keep the wheels, tires and lift kit to around $5000.

I would never just look at Fuel. Their are so many other good brands of wheels out there. Fuel is fine but it's just the brand that everyone has because everyone knows somebody that has them. Lots of other good ones. And I wouldn't doubt that many are made in the same place.

I swear 9/10 lifted trucks I see on the road you can see that little F spinning in the wheel and generally speaking I have a strong aversion to doing what everyone else does.
And to top it off I've heard some nightmares about their customer service, which only matters if there's a problem, but still.

To be fair if everyone has them although you lose the option to be different, they must be doing something right for everyone to go for them. I haven’t looked into customer service. If I purchased I’d use Custom Offsets and let them deal with them.

They make good wheels for sure. What I meant was that it's not about doing it right. A good wheel is a good wheel. They just became a name that caught on. Happens alot with tons of other products. Another good example is Nitto. I personally don't like them but it seems like everyone buys them. In the end, everyone buys whatever they like and I'm ok with that.

Yeah the customer service issues I've heard are more on custom orders, not the more 'production' wheels. And yes if you're not going custom and you're going thru custom offsets or another similar retailer you probably wouldn't have to deal with fuel directly. But when I hear about a company that doesn't take care of customers spending extra money with them I'm leery of giving them my business. The non-conformity is probably enough for me but the things I've heard sealed the deal on never buying their product.

Perfect response. A lot of these companies make a good wheel. I've bought Ion and Vision wheels for less coin and had no complaints. And I feel the same way about Nitto. Never had them or heard complaints necessarily, but I don't like how they look and don't exactly understand how they are so popular. Part of my personal equation on tires was doing a bit of a deep dive on which tires are produced in America by American companies (not many). But in the end, as you said, buy what you like, I'm ok with it.

In this case, OP asked for opinions, so thats what I gave.

So far since I placed my order at 2am this morning, I have received  3 emails and a text from Custom Offsets.

They explained how everything would fall into place. They even had a link to a video with the owner of the company walking through his shop showing tires being mounted, balanced, and packed for shipping. They ship them on a pallet packaged nice. It will probably show up on a LTL truck without a dropgate.

The lift kit gets shipped directly from McGaughys in California.

My stuff will be here by New year's .

The text was a kid asking for five stars on their Google page.

I told him I would when I get everything and it's all here and in perfect condition.

I don't give feedback on eBay until I get whatever I bought, same deal here.

Otherwise I have to say five stars so far. Great communication .

Is bead balancing worth $49 extra?

Stick on weights are standard issue. 

I've always thought with the stick ons you can see how bad it is if it is bad.

Or are the beads preferred so you don't have too see the stick on weights?

What do you guys think?
