Yeah that's the one, although the wheels are stock 20" snowflakes. But that wouldn't make any difference for you with the stock 22"

Oh and your initial question about labor cost, it was pretty close to 1,000 for each lift I've had installed, 6" BDS on that half ton and the 2-3" bds coilover on my current truck. Different work involved but they amounted to similar shop time. Someone made a comment that you can base it off the cost of the lift...not true at all, especially not double the price of the kit, unless maybe you're buying the cheapest kit known to man, or that might be true in the case of a level kit.

It’s all personal taste. But I do think that anything after 6 inches you should go bigger than 35’s. Where I live people run 35’s on leveling kits so seeing 35’s on an 8 inch lift is a little off.

What I'm really trying to avoid is any trimming. Maybe the front valance but that's it .

I'd compromise and go with a 36" tire maybe but there isn't much for 22"

I cant imagine needing to do any trimming running a 35" tire on stock wheels with 6".

Like I said, I have a 4.5" CST kit with the CST coilovers up front. I gained close to 5" and I can easily run a 35" tire on a 9" wheel with 5"  of backspace. Right now I'm running my stock 20" LTZ wheels with a 305/55/20 Ridge Grappler tire and I have all kinds of clearance height wise. I do touch the sway bar on a full lock turn in reverse, but that is due to the positive backspace on the stock wheels. You wouldn't have that issue with a 6" knuckle lift like the BDS, due to the 1 1/2" increase in the front.

And to answer your question about the labor cost for installation. Typically around $800.00 -$1000.00 should be the going rate for install. I did mine myself but those were prices I got here locally.

I agree 8” lift on the oem 22’s and 35’s is gonna look odd. All the pics you posted were of people running 20x12’s. Your setup won’t look anything like those. 
 

labor is gonna run you $100hr at the least. I’d budget a grand for install. Could be more if not purchasing from the shop doing the install. Also 4wheel Parts does quality work. Had several lifts done by them and no issues. Also their tire prices are comparable to Discount Tire. If you’re gonna use them for the lift might as well get the tires from them to. Might be able to work a deal on the lift install.

Personally, I’d avoid anything over 6”. 6-8” lift will cause you much worse mpg’s due to drag and most of all, you won’t be able to use parking garages or your own garage. I’ve also been told that most people get rid of their 6” and taller due to getting sick of climbing in and out plus all the above.

My choice going with CST 4.5” lift is simple, avoiding all of the above and be able to add 35” tires which I’ve just recently dropped from a 34” Nitto Ridge Grapplers to a 33.5” BFG KO2’s as the Nittos lost their ability to handle wet roads at 16k miles. I’d highly recommend the superior quality of a CST 4.5” lift, you’ll be highly impressed and you’ll have zero issues with parking garages.

As you can see, it’s more than enough lift and yet much more functional.

1.I don't really care about MPG

2. It ain't fitting in my garage anyways.

3. I have other vehicles that fit in a parking garage although I haven't parked in one in years. I hate downtown.

4. Your 4.5" is fine and works for you but I want to go higher than that. Probably be the last truck I do a lift on and don't want to regret not going bigger.

5. I'll be able to get in the truck just fine. I have steps and I'm not elderly.

Regearing is highly unnecessary unless you're above 35s. I have 35s and stock everything else and it hauls ass fine with no stress on the transmission.
