Ugh. That stinks man. I have waited over 2months for mine.   It’s in route Per UPS tracking# and supposed to be here Friday. If this new one is as good as my 18s was. It’s worth the wait.

I did install the Volant. Performance wise it is very close to the RotoFab. I live in Canada so with exchange the Volant is still pretty pricey. But much less than replacing the bottom part of the air box. The performance is good. The fit and finish is good. The pipe is super smooth on the inside, I was worried it wouldn’t be but it is. I wasn’t too worried about the look. I’m not showing my truck.

Install is done. Went ok. The 10mm nut holding intake housing box is kinda a pain. Need a small socket set or wrench. The intake cupler was a pain to get around the intake. Fit and finish is good.

Man does it suck in air. You can definitely hear the difference. If u have an after market exhaust it just enhances it.

I just placed an order for the Cold Air Inductions filter. Saw this video by a guy who installed it in his Trail Boss, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J05bzfs2yTE.

There's another video out there by a guy who did a dyno run with this filter and saw I think 4-5 HP at the rear wheels. Not that impressive, but meh, it's cheap enough and it's something...

edit: found the other video... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwpDqkqBCNg

Dropped the GM CAI in this morning. Didn’t even take an hour. Very happy with it, and can’t wait to hear it paired with my new catback exhaust, which the Chevy dealer is installing in about an hour. ??

BTW, anyone who installed the GM CAI... did you put those zip ties on that came with it? I didn’t see a need for them and the videos I watched online of other people installing their CAIs didn’t show them putting them on. Just curious.

Correct me if I am wrong but I recall reading somewhere that GM's Performance Intake requires a dealer calibration?

Yes.  It is included with the purchase of the CAI.

Thanks Nick,

That being said, wouldn't any CAI require the same?
