You've had various trucks with various wheel comparisons. Hardly relevant. Two trucks, even the same model can ride differently. Two tires by different brands will ride drastically differently. Ever swap from new 20" tires to new 22" tires on the same truck using the exact same tire model? If not then your experiences are not as relevant.

My 20s were less than a year old and I used the exact same model for both so I know for a fact you're wrong.

By your own admission you didn't do as thorough of a comparison. ASSume away.

God you’re simple. My last truck had 33x12.5x22s for summer and 295/55/20s for winter, both Nitto Ridge Grapplers. Same tire, same brand, same size with the exception of wheel size. The difference was minimal to the point of i didn’t tell you you’d most likely not know. Anything else you’d like to ASSume to further you’re ASSU portion of assume?

33x12.5r22 has a load range of 114. It's rated to carry 815 fewer lbs.

Tell me more. Or tell me if you don't understand why they ride similar. My 20s were 115 load, my 17s are 117.

You asked if i had swapped from the exact model tire in a 22/20 and you assumed i hadn’t, then you come to find out I have and now have to back track. 22/20, or 18/20, or 17/18 will all ride similar on the same size tire end of story.

Dude, you're the one back tracking. You went from a hard sidewall LT 20" tire to a soft sidewall low load range 22. Why can't you just admit it when you're wrong?

LT tires always ride firmer. The fact it didn't is because you had more rubber, proving my point that rubber is more flexible than aluminum and you will have a better / softer ride by having more rubber everything else being the same.

I'm done, we have both proven my point.

Whatever bud. I've had some 22's that were a little harsh in the past but that has to do with tire style and brand. I've had 18's that rode crappy and 20's that were smoother and rode better than 17's and 20's that rode better than Bridgestone 45 series 22's. It all depends. I've driven and ridden in many cars and trucks that rode smooth and some not so smooth. Ever notice tires on new sports cars, exotic cars, SUV's etc.? They're all low profile and actually more low profile than my 50 series 22". I've ridden in vehicles with tall sidewall tires that rode harsh. I can say without doubt and hesitation that these Michelin 22's ride as good as the 18's I removed despite theory or what you believe. Others have ridden in my truck before and after and say the same. It is what it is.

The above quote was yours correct? So by your own statement my experiences are relevant, you just didn’t realize (read assumed) I had that real world experience . If you go from a 33” tire on a 22” wheel and then switch to the same make/model/size 33” tire on a 20” wheel chances are you will not feel the difference, regardless of the load range. However the 20 is a 10 Ply Load E and the 22 is a 12 ply Load F (stiffer) so you’re wrong yet again.

ummm...I commented on the wheel size yes/no? As for your comment? I have done none of what your implying. Assumptions are usually incorrect which makes you look even more foolish. Spending decades on R-O-W's and construction...ummm..we never did anything other than stock. Heck, most were not even 4D capable and if they were nobody used it....LOL....what do I know. No, they are OEM take offs. I was actually shopping on eBay and I saw a banner in the background of one of the pictures. This shop was about 45 minutes away in Tampa. Called him up, Cash deal, $2,000. They had about 20 different sets of 22 inch take offs. GM only makes about 5 different 22in wheels for the 2019 and up trucks. They are different because of brake caliper clearance. I picked the chrome snowflakes and I call them my winter wheels, lol. It's a Florida thing...
