Tailgate rattle fix?

How do people fix the tailgate rattle? Realized Chevy's don't have rubber bumpers for the tailgate. 

 

I don't see any "kit" for the new t1 Chevy

I haven't heard of any tailgate rattles on the T1. I know several people with them and the tailgates are fine including mine. Do you have play in it?

It chatters/rattles on bumps, which is driving me nuts and it'll only get worse off road.

dealer said it's normal and there is no fix or update by GM

 

My dodge has rubber bumpers for the tailgate attached to the bed for this reason.

You should never hear that rattle. Go to a different dealer.

Yea weird... I get zero noise from the tailgate.  Do you have a trailer hitch? What gets me is when a service dept. is quick to say "that's normal". BS, a rattling tailgate isn't normal. I tell you what, when they tell you "that's normal" say ok lets go drive a handful of other trucks on the lot and we'll see if "that's normal". Call their bluff.  Find a new service dept.

My TB has/had the rattle, and it's been to the dealer twice for it.  They never figured it out.  I put a hard cover on and that helps

When I close my tailgate I can hear and feel rattling inside the tailgate. I was thinking of opening up the tailgate and see what’s making the noise. Then maybe adding some padding in the right places will fix it.

I've never heard a rattle from the tailgate. Only from the rear headrests. I've taken my truck offroad, too. With all the noise dampening built into the body do you think you'd really hear the tailgate rattle when driving down the road?

Maybe a tailgate seal would help.

Are you in a cold climate?  Mine sounds like a "work truck" with a steel shelving unit when I get a bit of ice between the cab and bed

I'm wondering this as well,  my tailgate is loose when latched.   Def shouldn't be like this.   Don't know if I can hear it from inside the cab but also not the point
