Right? I'll be happy with 225k out of my truck ?

I am most impressed with the mileage good to know these motors can rack up the miles. I would pass at the point where alot of things can start breaking and the accident.

I’ve bought several older really clean GM trucks over the years for around 5K the most recent my 02 Avalanche that shows like new. I stick in the 130-160K range with complete service records. With the price point I’d go older lower mileage. And stay away from any used cylinder deactivation model. Unless  it’s cheap enough and clean enough that replacing the engine is painless.

Thanks for all the input guys, unfortunately it sold yesterday like a hot cake apparently. ( 2 days after being put on the website) I'll try to ask the salesman if he could tell me how much it ended up selling for.  On to the next one...

“Unfortunately”? When you call the salesman, you should thank them. Someone did you a favor. [emoji6]

You guys are forgetting, a 2014 with 225k miles is 37.5k miles a year. About 100 miles a day for 6 years

which means it was all highway.

Which means it was in 6th gear.

Which means the engine revolutions, seat time, hours if operation, basically everything before the output shaft of the transmission have similar usage to a truck with like 110k miles of normal mixed driving. This could be verified with the engine hours counter and avg speed.

Newer cars with extremely high miles per year can be great deals if you plan on using the truck until it’s dead. The downside is it will have virtually no resale value.
