A politician thinks they are above the law. Shocker. Republicans have been hypocritical and downright moronic as well. Like that guy who tried to pay his mistress to have an abortion. The real problem in this country isn't right vs left. It's the elite vs the common man. The rich and powerful will do everything they can to keep their grip on this country and keep us ignorant and in the dark. Neither party cares more about the American people than they do about keeping their power over us

Republicans have the swamp, this is true. The shocker for me is the fracture in the Democrat partly. They were always in lock step. Power effects most people badly. No doubt.

One party has been a hell of a lot worse than the other as it pertains to the virus. Pardon the pun, but they have hypocrisy “locked down”.

I agree. The smart ones figure it out for themselves. The others make excuses or point figures. Dr Falchi just did a wing dinger yesterday. Acting like he can see the future. Getting everyone all upset again. People need to get a clue about that guy. There’s a guy who really likes power. He’s about as accurate as our local weather man.

Falchi was at it again yesterday. The president was explaining we’re turning the corner on covid. Myself a thinking person took that to mean several things. One we’re getting an understanding of the bug. Two we are better at treatment. Three we know who it effects. The doctor when asked, I don’t know what he meant. Really? A real patriot. Remember this is a man who recommended kids going to school. But he doesn’t know what turning the corner means. Oh, OK!

Then we've been turning a corner every day for the past 8 months?  The normal use of "turning a corner" means something significant/noticeable has happened recently that changed the situation.  Nothing significant has happened, particularly w.r.t. the 3 things you mentioned, anytime recently.

I think there are some significant events regarding understanding the virus.  Take this:

https://www.hpcwire.com/2020/07/28/supercomputer-powered-research-uncovers-signs-of-bradykinin-storm-that-may-explain-covid-19-symptoms/

We are certainly better at treatment as we have more targeted approaches instead of throwing everything at it (i.e. placing patients prone before placing on ventilators).

Regarding who it affects, the information isn't necessarily new but its gaining more research to support it.  Grumpy can put out the actual numbers but greater than 90% of deaths were over 60 and average 2.5 comorbidities.  Again, not new information but now the numbers seem to back up the early theories.

You’re being bias. Nothing changed since the beginning? We’re on the verge of a vaccine even according to the great Fauci. Yes of course we’re turning a corner. Most states that opened early aren’t experiencing anything any different than states like California. Who still are relatively locked down. Peaks and valleys. Here in my area in Texas almost normal. Schools opening, sports being played. Contrast that with California. Oh by the way there’s room their for people who want to stay locked down. It should be easy to find moving vans heading that way. The other way not so much. People are leaving in droves. Also New York.

It’s not like in the past week we learned 94% of deaths had other serious co-morbidities. We also didn’t see studies suggesting up to 90% of positive tests are in people who aren’t contagious, and thus the asymptomatic spread myth busted. There also wasn’t several studies released that showed the lockdowns to be ineffective and harmful. Oh wait, all of that happened.

Still hard to say we turned a corner, but only because the libs won’t allow us to turn it.

My age group is suffering the most deaths and it looks like we're catching it from the young'uns.

Thanks.  A lot.

They don't care. They aren't dying.

Someone needs to keep the country moving and the money flowing. It’s those young guns stocking shelves and fulfilling your Amazon orders.

I'm sorry I want to live and be something in this world. I guess I will just stop my life completely so you feel better.

If you don't want to catch it, then keep your old self at home and far away from others. I don't have the luxury of being able to collect a pension or social security so I can't just drop everything. Somebody still has to put money into that system so others can benefit from it.
