Aftermarket brake controller

Any one have issues with aftermarket brake controllers? I have a 2019 Sierra where the signal wire from truck isn’t reaching brake controller when pressing brake pedal

Did it work and then stop working, or is this a new install?

Did you use the factory supplied harness that has to be soldered onto the controller plug or did you get a plug and play harness that plugs directly into the truck's socket and the controller?

I installed a Reese unit a year ago and have had no issues. I adjust the brake down when the trailer is empty and back up when loaded. Works great.
