2024Denali Posted June 16, 2020 Posted June 16, 2020 Not a major problem, but with the summer heat I tend to use a sunshade, but have an adhesive piece gets pulled up every time I go to remove it. Anyone else have this piece come up? Not really sure how go about fixing it.
smrr1 Posted June 17, 2020 Posted June 17, 2020 I dont but you are not the first to report that issue
Monkey Posted June 17, 2020 Posted June 17, 2020 Have that issue as well and been trying to figure out how best to resolve! Sent from my SM-G988U1 using Tapatalk
Jason_ Posted June 17, 2020 Posted June 17, 2020 Same issue here. At this point do we just take that strip out? What good could it be doing just continuing to stuff it back down.

HayaCruza Posted June 17, 2020 Posted June 17, 2020 Same issue. Best guess, it is supposed to keep items from falling down there. If you were to drop coins or a pen down there, it would be near impossible to get out and rattle all the time. If you are still under the bumper to bumper warranty, make it the dealers problem to fix. 1

Took the truck in for the recall on a wiring harness and mentioned the seal coming up. They told me no problem, but they have to order the parts. So I didnt ask enough questions, and took it in to get fixed when the parts came in. When they were done, I thanked them for cleaning the dash, since it was spotless. He laughed and said no, we replaced the whole dash. I was shocked! I laughed and asked why they didnt just replace the adhesive seal, and he said GM didnt offer just that part. So, long story short, for a cheap adhesive seal, GM was charged $1900 for a warranty claim. Had I known the whole dash had to be replaced, I probably would've said no, but nothing I can do now :).

Wow - that is quite a big job for something so small. I'll probably pass on saying anything. I have just become aware of the placement of my visor when putting it up and it has seemed to help avoid the issue. 1
econometrics Posted July 10, 2020 Posted July 10, 2020 I use the overpriced OEM Silverado-branded GM one. It's excellent, and I have not had this issue yet with my RST.
