Must have been a midyear change. There are several users on here with 2020s who claim to have the rear door buttons.

I have a key fob with a button that unlocks all 4 doors at once, I'm not sure what is so hard about touching a button once to do the same thing.

A lot of times I have grocery bags in both hands since I don't want to have to bring the shopping cart out to the parking lot and bring it all the way back and I am usually carrying four bags, two in each hand, and and my keys are usually under my phone and wallet. The convenience is way nicer when there's a button readily available. It's really nice when I don't have to take my keys out all the time so, yes, it's below me, LOL.

I used to believe it's a Mexican vs. American thing. My friend has 2020 Cheyenne High Country intended for the Mexican market and it didn't have the buttons on rear doors. Then I looked in Google Image for high-resolution 2020's and realized a lot didn't have it. It really is nice having that button since I carry a lot of things all the time and use the back of the cab for computers, peripherals, groceries, and stuff. Just reach out and unlock the door so I don't need to drop everything, look for the key, and unlock it.

Yeah, I use the back buttons a lot too.

I think it’s safe to assume all 2020 GMCs have the back buttons...every one I’ve seen has them, even on SLE trim (like the mule). Maybe it’s a Chevy thing now. Have to step up to professional grade to get the back buttons.

Hopefully they offer a 30+ gallon fuel tank. Otherwise, it'll be the new F150 or the Ram for me.

Wow, that's interesting.. I just spent the past 20 minutes looking at GMC Sierras and all the SLE's had buttons on rear doors. Can confirm not all LTZ's and not even all top-end High Country trims had buttons on rear doors. That's enough to get me looking at the Sierra instead of Silverado!

Probably going with another brand next time. The decontenting on this revised Sierra will be epic. Can you imagine how much the GM brass is hating having to step it up to compete with Ram? They will be cutting corners anywhere they can to offset what they are having to spend on the "all new" interior. And they still have those goofy ass wheel wells. The clown face on the current Sierra is what made me leave the '19 Denali I had reserved on the lot. So disappointing.

36 Gallon tank in a F150 is pretty neat option . And for what $150?

I had that in my 2016 and it was a $395 option, but the V-8 got quite a bit worse gas mileage, usually around 20 while I have been able to squeeze 28 out of my Silverado.

Can't say I recall ever being in a car with a door lock button in the rear. None of our cars in our family has had them, that way kids can't unlock the car. Not seeing how it is of any importance. As I read this stuff again I think you mean the keyless entry where you just grab the handle and it unlocks? That is also a feature I haven't seen often on the rear doors. Wasn't a big deal, just tap the front handle or button and it unlocked all doors if I have to put something in the rear.

I hope they just give the current interior a nip and tuck, don't replace it with some luxury car inspired dash that won't last and is hard to use. There is a reason trucks are designed a certain way and the current dash is extremely user friendly.

i have a back lock and unlock button on the door.....its a 2500 but think my RST had it as well though not 100%

My 2019 RST has it and it's standard. Like the center console, it's a feature I cannot live without. The 2020 RST doesn't though... it seems the GMC didn't do that to the Sierra, only the Chevrolet with the Silverado. And I looked at the 2500, it looks like all have buttons on the rear doors. I hope Chevrolet puts that back in their 2021 Silverado 1500.

Can't say I recall ever being in a car with a door lock button in the rear. None of our cars in our family has had them, that way kids can't unlock the car. Not seeing how it is of any importance. Same for me. 38 gallon with Toyota, 33 gallon with Ram, 36 gallon with Ford, and 24 gallons with Chevy 1500. Doubt they will provide a larger gas tank and with federal regs you cannot buy a larger aftermarket replacement tank anymore.

I also prefer the headlights on the new F-150 that look like they can actually illuminate the road. My 2011 Silverado 2500HD has great headlights that are perfect for dark country roads. The current Silverado 1500 truck lighting is so poor as to constitute a safety hazard.

At this point in time the 2021 Ram 1500 looks like the best truck overall, especially if one wants a good offroad setup that won't break the bank (unlike with Ford for example).

My Silverado 1500 has LED lights and lighting is better than the 2016 F-150 which had regular halogen lights that did a poor job. The F-150 had the 36-gallon tank but the poor gas mileage gave it a range of around 720 miles when I went 60 to 70 mph. My Silverado achieved a little over 26 mpg and I was able to do 615 miles without refueling. There were a little over a gallon in the tank when I refueled in Hermosillo so I am content with the range and have been able to consistently beat EPA fuel economy numbers. Ram may boast of decent gas mileage but it seems it doesn't happen in real world conditions. I haven't driven it enough to confirm it.

I didn't know there were federal regs on aftermarket tanks though.
