Which one?

New guy here, hello, about to pull the trigger on a Silverado. Need an opinion. I can get one that's stock. The other I can get has 35's on 20" rims with a 7" trail master lift. I love the look but to the guys, and gals, who have jacked up rides, how stiff (uncomfortable) is the ride? My old truck, a toyota, had 33s and a 3" lift. But the truck was never comfortable to begin with.

I'm not getting stuck in deep mud, but I do off road and go on the soft sand at the beach.

Have you had a chance to drive both down the same stretch of road? Maybe even go off it a bit....

Just my opinion, I'd go stock

You can always modify afterwards.

stock 4x4, or z71, or trail boss will handle sand totally fine.

the lifted truck you're looking at is going to get terrible MPG and is not practical for hauling and towing. its good for looking at and off road use. just not practical as a daily driver or street use. maintenance is a huge pain when they are lifted like that. want to replace a battery? get a ladder. want to check the fluid levels? get a ladder.

i think that lifts and big tires were started by lunk heads like me... who grew up in the 70/80s with 55 mph and a country much more tolerant of 4wheeling..

you are way ahead handling and stopping staying stock... wear and and resale too.. air down the tires a bit and you will do fine at the beach..

buy stock and mod yourself so you know what components are on there and know they are installed correctly.

Unless I know the seller personally, or they have receipts from a reputable shop, I avoid buying lifted vehicles. Too many idiots out there who don't do it right or beat the crap out of it without doing proper maintenance. Go stock and then shop around for the lift that suits you best (if that's what you want), then install it yourself or go with a shop you trust. Then you'll know it's done right.
