Hello,

What is the difference between the previous generation wheels and the new ones and is it possible to fit the older 22” factory wheels on the new trucks?

Thanks....

Nope. Only a very few will work. Different offset but mainly the angle of the spokes to clear the caliper.

I was just told you would need a 10mm wheel spacer on the front wheels..

Can anybody confirm this?

Thanks in advance

Anything over 3mm you won't be hub centric anymore unless you get a spacer with new studs. 10mm spacer can't be used with stock studs. What wheel are you trying to fit?

Some snowflakes may fit but close. Post a pic. Why don't you just try it? I wouldn't mess with spacers. If not sell them and get wheels that fit.

I have not bought them yet, I'm just doing my homework..

A new style snowflakes run about $2500 to my house, older ones about $1500..

Here is a photo of the new wheel...

Thank you Sir..

And I agree, I would really prefer to stay away from spacers, I'll fork up the money for the correct wheels instead..Thx

This is incorrect. I personally have some 10mm spacers from BORA and they have the lip for the wheel to sit on. Also you can buy extended thread lugs that will allow you to use the stock  wheel studs.

Just using a 10mm spacer (without lip) won't be hub centric and will be lug centric. Post a pic of your spacer. Your using stock studs with a 10mm spacer? Once you post I'll explain why.

As requested. You can see the extended thread lugs take up what's lost from using the spacer. The extended thread goes into the lug wheel pocket so you don't loose any thread engagement.
