No problem at all I’ll grab some tonight then tomorrow I’ll get some during day. The wiring wasn’t bad once I figured out the wiring as it had 2 relays into one switch to control the DRL then the rest of the bar. I used fuse taps to tie into the high beams and ignition

I put one in the bottom of the grill. It has a DRL feature so I wired it into my ignition for DRL then tied it into my high beams to turn the hole bar on.

These are the best I've seen.  This is custom work done by shoreline motoring .

Schmidty, I thought the AT4's had a 2" lift as well because that's what a guy locally told me, but according to a few different threads on this forum, thats not true. Only the 1500 AT4's have a 2" lif

nice! can't wait to see it. would love to find a complete tutorial on how to remove the front grill, if you followed on to get back there!

 

out of curiosity, any reason you didn't do it in the lower valence opening, in/below the bumper instead? that's where I'm thinking I want to put mine.

One with the Fog lights is the DRL mode on the lightbar then the picture without them is high beams on witch then turns on all led ‘s in the lightbar.

I was going to but then seen another guy mount it here and I liked it as well as their is a nice steel mount on the truck in this spot that worked perfect.I do a lot of winter driving so figured it would stay a little cleaner up higher. No I didn’t find a manual online to take the grill out. It was basically take the top plastic clips out then I believe their was some bolts up top to take out then the grill just pops out it’s a good little pull. Then I had to pull the black plastic by the headlights out to make room to get the grill out and unplug the harness for the camera in the front. I also has to cut the black plastic that was mounted to the chrome to get the lightbar in.

copy that! yeah, the pulling and yanking of pieces off the truck scares me... and without fully understanding what i'm pulling, i don't want to break anything. 

 

looks great man! does it improve visibility a bunch? thanks again for sharing!!

Yeah man I was so nervous! Yeah I love having it specially since it’s ties to the high beams then I can use the auto high beam button and don’t have to worry about turning the bar off and then the high beams.  I might put a 3 way switch in later so I can also manually turn the bar on when in low beam but not sure yet.

I put one in the same place on my AT4, those circular metal pieces that are attached to the bumper ended up working perfectly. Upside of the AT4 is that you can just pop the top part of the grill off and stick your hand through the slots to position the bar.  I never took the whole thing off.

What size light bar did you use?

Sorry to bring back an old thread but I've searched and haven't been able to find any examples of the Silverado grill. I just ordered an LTZ so I'm curious if anyone has mounted any behind the grill in basically any model that doesn't have the HC grill? Did you use a single bar or multiple smaller bars. Looking at the pictures of the front end of the Chevy it looks like I could probably mount it in the same manor as mx_master and it should like up with the bottom row on the grill just above the bumper.

Did you end up looking your light bar with the DRL feature? How is it holding up? This is a clean install! Well done.

I have an LTZ that does have the shutters behind the grill.  This leaves almost no room for even small light bars.  I wanted some good light output so I ended up mounting a 40" curved marine light bar to the bumper (32k lumen).  It's not hidden by any means, but I don't think it looks too bad and kind of breaks up the large grill area a bit.  I did first try to find something that would fit in the small slot at the bottom of the grill, but nothing that slim had very good output.

40” Black Oak curved fits easy in the new Grills. At least buy Rough Country lights, those Amazon ones are trash. But if you want to put trash on a nice truck, that’s all you.

      While waiting for parts I have been working on installing the AC compressor, new accumulator, and orifice tube. Also changed out the high side ball valve (original). The orifice tube that was in there wasn't too bad. Slightly dirty, a little bit of junk, but not blocked. Glad I changed it out.   The accumulator, which should have been a 5 minute job, may have just burned $50. Put some PAG in it, wrote the date and mileage on the side, fresh o-rings and gooey'd up the threads and rings with Nylog. Got everything connected and snugged and was going to vacuum down the system, and....   My manifold gauge won't fit on the port. It's not an R12 service port. It LOOKS like an R134 service port but the diameter is a hair too large. There's a sticker on the accumulator that says it's designed to be used with R12 and R134a systems only. So it's not R1234yf. Even if I reduced the diameter slightly with a file, the shoulder on the port is too large so the quick-connect valve won't lock on. I'm stumped. It's going back, and 50/50 on if they'll give me a refund.   Also, I did a fuel pressure test.... Key on, the gauge spikes to about 60psi and quickly bleeds off, like 2psi per second. The fuel isn't going into the plenum, no smell, starts fine, so I'm guessing there's a bad check valve in the pump and the fuel is just draining back into the tank. oh, hell. But, it shouldn't be a problem, pump primes just fine and the truck starts right up. It just means I can't really ever use fuel pressure to verify a leak at the injector or intake.

      Got this yesterday out of nowhere. Truck is a 25',6.6 gasser with 8k miles.  Only semi anomaly is that the truck had been sitting, uncranked for 6 days. Elec Stability Control showed immediately upon cranking, not while driving. No drivability issues, just the message. Battery didn't seem to be weak when cranking over.  I drove it, killed it, let it sit a few hrs with no avail.  Truck is 100% stock. No damage.

      This can be done.  It is not cheap and requires an instrument cluster swap with custom programming, new steering wheel with the controls on it, and a special jumper harness.   The cluster upgrade - 12.3” Digital Cluster Upgrade – 2022.5–2026 Silverado / Sierra (T1 Refresh Pickup) - WAMS   The wheel upgrade - Steering Wheel Upgrade Kit – 2022.5–2026 Silverado / Sierra (T1 Refresh Pickup) - WAMS   The column harness upgrade - 2019 - 2026 Silverado / Sierra: Steering Wheel LIN Bus Harness - Harness Dr. - DIY Done Right     The problem with doing all of this?  You pretty much can't have any programming done to your truck that involves the cluster ever again.  The dealer won't be able to program the cluster as GM's system will only pull data for the cluster the truck came with.  So it would be advised also to turn off over the air updates.   TLDR;  Should have bought an LT double cab?  You'd have a power seat, the wheel controls, the cluster, all things that you've been seeking in your various posts so far about your new WT regular cab.
