Sugar are the problem no matter how you look at it. Yes sugar in the right AMOUNT is good for you and your body, but people don’t follow those rules and neither do processed food companies or fast food restaurants. Sugar is highly addictive and the more they shove into foods the more people will eat it and continue eating it. I have pages upon pages of this on my laptop. It’s amazing how much of our food now a days is processed instead of “homegrown”/ “naturally grown”

It’s the same concept with steroids. IF you can take steroids in very small doses it is actually good for you, BUT so many people WANT the instant bulk and strength and don’t want to wait for it the RIGHT way and they abuse it. Then when they have been using it for years and stop, their body breaks down.

And yes if you or anyone lived in hotter areas the fruits are plentiful and good for you. I myself love vegetables. Cauliflower, radishes are my favorite.

you cant say SUGAR  is the problem,  the issue is with  "Processed sugars"  do not attack organic natrual Sugars.. One can live strictly off oranges or watermellon for a year straight without serious issues. in fact you will experience many health benefits that will blow your mind. TRY IT!!!!! i've done it before

if you want to experience the natrual steroids created by your body and become extremly in tune with your enviroment, i suggest you try fasting  for 1-4 weeks.  theres a point when your internal organs click, are start the natrual process, truely something to experience. i guarantee to will have the hormones drive you had when you where 18 years old! try it!

I apologize on my mistake when I said Sugars, I was referring to the processed side. Not the sugars that fruits make. That’s my bad. I know all about allowing our body to create its own natural hormones.   I have always done this even when playing football in college. I never ever have taken any strengths enhancements or supplements. I’ve always allowed my body to do it naturally and I still do when lifting at 530 and and again at 4 pm in after noon with my football team.
and I don’t call it fasting, I call it “shocking the system”!! Retraining the body, especially when one gets off the beaten path!

I get mine done here at dealership for $67. Full inspection and they pick up my truck and drop back off when I’m at work. Plus, if anything ever happens when under warranty GM can’t come back and state I didn’t have a certified GM mechanic working on my truck. If you do it yourself there is always a possibility of voided warranty.
My father is a small town mechanic but not GM certified and even he states just let them do it til after warranty. GM has more money then any of us to try and fight them on that battle.
As for the OP....I can’t believe they charge $100 or higher where you live. That’s insane

I'm in Clarksville, TN and the Valvoline wanted $135 for full synthetic on my 2015.  I said no thank you and went to autozone and spent around $70 for oil and filter.  Now that I have a 2021 with warranty I'll see what the dealership cost.  I have one free oil change with them.

That’s absolutely out of control. It literally takes 25 minutes for an oil change.  When I had my 97 c/k I would change the oil.  While the oil dripped out of the plug I would check transmission fluid, tire pressure in each tire, along with refilling washer fluid in that time.  It would cost me $42 at my dads shop.   That’s a huge chunk of change for 25 minutes that they want.

It will be interesting if they give you a better deal since you bought it there.  I know on my truck at my dealership they get tissy with me when warranty work or any other issue arises on it because I didn’t buy it there. It’s kinda funny.
I told them start giving me a deal!!
So back in October they gave me a smoking deal on a new Acadia for the wife. Took $9500 off msrp and they haven’t said a word when I have an issue with it. It had a rattle in the door panel and it was no problem, yes sir!!   They also gave me the 100k bumper to bumper for $1500.  It only took them 4 trucks bought at other dealership for them to open their eyes.

I wish you luck and hopefully they treat you right. $130 for an oil change. ?????. I’m still shacking my head.

I completely agree. I couldn’t believe I wasted all that time waiting for a bay to open to have them tell me that. I’ve never heard of an oil change costing that much before.

I’m hoping they give me a good deal. I work with my salesman so maybe that will help. I still have awhile before I need to take it in. Just hit 400 miles today.

I was reading through and couldn’t resist. How much did it cost to replace the engine?Running it to check the transmission fluid while the oil was draining? You do know you check the transmission with it running, right? On a 97 model.

It’s ok. Yes. I check the tranny last after oil is all in and running. Lol. It’s all good

What I was getting at is that it can be done in around 25 minutes. Should have maybe broken it down better.
