Neat conversion, but they just look awkward to me with that low swooping roofline and the tall vintage front end. I'll take the real thing any day over that. To each our own, I suppose.

I think for $70,000 plus the price of a newer Tahoe one could get a good shaped old one do some work on it and put a modernish LS powertrain in it.

For sure, but for those people who cant turn a wrench and have massive amounts of disposable income, this fits the bill for immediate gratification :)

Buddy is doing this for his son in high school. Pulled a 70s K10 blazer out of the trees on the farm. Very little rust. To make story short he will have $30k in it fully restored with a built 406 with NOS. That’s a hella lot cheaper than these things. And it will smoke them on and off road.  Just my 2 cents.

They are cool.  If I had that much money I would maybe consider one...maybe, it is cool though....
