Warped rotors

So I have 33k on the truck and the front rotors are warped. Pedal pulsating and vibration in wheel.  Highly doubt dealership will do anything about this.  What rotors and pads would you recommend not breaking the bank?  This damn truck keeps being a pita. Thanks

I put Powerstops rotors and pads on my previous truck (Ford F150 FX4), they were excellent! 

 

Of course you could just have the rotors turned and put OEM or similar pads on for less money!

I was looking at those but wasn’t sure if they were good or not. My brakes have had issues since the beginning. Dealer already cut them and slapped new pads on.  It’s only gotten worse.

The aftermarket drilled or slotted power stop rotors are junk imo, i had some on my 05 and within two years the northeast climate had eating the things alive. My 2014 still has the oem rotors and pads on it, i'm thinking you might either Tow a good bit or have a heavy foot on the brake pedal or simply something is wrong with the system for them to only last that long.

Same issue literally had them on my 05 canyon and the brakes didnt last more then 20K. put EBC red stuff on the from (changed the front brakes to a 09) and ultra rotors, they were great, once my brakes are gone on mine i will put EBC on it. 

 

OP: 

do you tow alot? are you a two foot driver?

I don’t tow at all and mostly drive highway. Have I been heavy on the breaks, yes. However, majority of the time I put cruise control on and drive with the flow of traffic. Like I mentioned before, I’ve had issues with the brakes for quite sometime. I took a look at my rotors today when I got home from work and it appears my fronts are warped. I’m also getting the symptoms of wheel shake with the pulsating braking.  So no to power stop and yes to ebc and ultra rotors?

Ran them on my 12 FX4 for over 100k miles, no problems?

Is there any difference in changing these as in the previous model?  I’ve changed a few sets of brakes and rotors before and was wondering if there’s anything different I need to know with the t1’s. Thanks

Did you ever find rotors for your truck? I’m having a hard time finding anything other than OEM?

I always got good service life from Duralast Gold rotors from Autozone, my local store stocks them for the new silverado.

Your warranty is for 36,000 miles.  The dealership has to honor it.   Take it to them with the complaint.

Not use about US, but Canadian GM warranty will do one turning of the rotors within first 20,000 kms (12,000 miles) if they warp. But after that, it is a serviceable item, mainly because there are so many factors than can cause warping (heavy trailer towing through mountains with improper trailer brake settings, hard emergency braking, people rest their left foot on the brake pedal as they drive, etc).
