The vast majority of it will likely be the same engine.

Looking forward to hearing what they are changing.

If its anything like the 6.6, when they change an RPO code a lot changes. LMM, LML, L5P... Same displacement but that's it.

I think the magic number is 300/500 ( hoping)

With Stelantis brining out their 2 Turbo 6 engines, i think GM has to make a decision here on how to move forward.

They are the only one left now with a V8 as their top dog .  Do the 5.3 and 6.2 get updates or will they phase out one of the motors for a Turbo 6 . Its inevitable IMO.

Maybe they'll drop them, but not for 2023 model.

The talk of the town is that new powertrains are coming for '25 (model year '26) when the Silverado/Sierra get their next significant redesign. Lots of people seem to think the 5.3 will be dropped and replaced with a turbocharged V6 of some sort and the 6.2 will probably be the only V8 offered. Obviously, that's just talk at this point.

I would hope that they would get rid of the oil pump belt that has to be replaced at 150,000 miles by dropping the transmission . That is why I stayed away from this diesel and went with the 6.2.

Is that for 2.8, 3.0, and 6.6 diesels? Or just the 3.0?

Got proof?

He doesn’t. They are rumors and not ones that came from GM. Just people talking on the internet.

Im not saying that isnt a possibility, there just isn’t any information out there at all.
