Worked at a full service gas station in high school with 2 bays for repairs. Mechanical pumps, cheap oil in cardboard quarts and mostly cash sales. Gas rarely went over 30 cents a gallon for regular.

Now we are in my wheelhouse     Any refinery that can run sour crude can and does process sweet. Just can't do it as efficiently. Fact, no refinery in the USA processes ONLY sour crude. They

Again politics is not a subject for the site. It's specifically mentioned in the site rules. People are only going to argue.   Gas price listing are fine without all the political comment.

Up another nickel today. BP refinery outage from the storm is the 'reason' given. Gas now shipped from the Gulf.

We had a drunk wipe out an entire substation at Chevrons El Paso Refinery when I worked there, and we were prime in a shift. Power outage lasted about 90 seconds. They have more than one feed and often generate their own power. My section was back online in under three minutes.  The substation took months to get back.

 

Of course, they trained people then to be more than a chair warmer. You go Homer......

I got gas in the beast today. The first of the month the Kroger discount for gas hit if you have the card. I got a 30 cent discount paid 2.55$ per gallon.

Not sure if it was a fluke but the Sheetz in Fayetville had $2.09 on the sign when I drove by this morning.  The new Sheetz that just opened has it for $2.99 and all the other stations are at $3.19.

low buck places on the hiway are $3.09- $3.19 cash, $3.21 in town, saw $3.03 cash just over the border in NH

Finally starting to move back down. A few counties south of us and a few days ago the price is 40 cents a gallon cheaper. We come back about half that distance in 48 hours.

Down a dime on the hi-way, $3.04- $3.14 low buck, most others $3.29- $3.49, I haven't been down town to see their prices in a few days. Saw 1 station just north of Boston $3.99 still. North in NH close to $3

      Can ask that about a lot of places.   Holiday sells 91 for $1 over 87 octane. BP 93 is 80 cents. Amoco 93 is 80 cents Kwik Trips is $1.20 for 92 or whatever they have and $1 for the 91.   I know that this is not exactly same as what you are saying with the premium to premium debate of those two stations but why is there such a difference. Top Tier this and that, it's all BS. All the fuel comes from the same damn refinery, so give me a break.

      Why does Mobil Premium cost 90 cents a gallon more than Shell Premium when their regular offerings are but pennies apart?

      Was all the way down to $3.69 a gallon but then jumped back to $3.99 just because for some reason.   Diesel floats between $4.80's to $5.10ish a gallon. I even saw Diesel #1 for $6.09 today but nobody in there right mind even buys that in the summer.

      Mine just keeps lagging or getting stuck on the reverse camera. When I turn off the truck, get out, and close the door it will still stay on. It’s very intermittent and I would not be able to duplicate the issue.

      I was checking out fuel prices at my farm fuel retailer at their pumps and yes the farm price is a bit lower than the non dyed fuel and was glad to see that the regular farm gas price has dropped a lot from what it had been but what blew me away was the price of diesel as the spread now compared to before the prices went up earlier in the year, diesel was actually slightly lower than gas which was a switch from the theme the last number of years. However that sure isn't the theme lately and definitely not right now. The prices I will post are not from that retailer but just looking at gasbuddy for the main city in this area and instead of posting the lowest price someone found I will list the higher price ( and that may not be the highest price, just whatever someone posted on gasbuddy ).   So regular gas and there are a lot of stations listing the same price for regular is 1.68 a liter, premium 2.00 a liter. Diesel 2.03 a liter for a top price I saw on diesel.   Figures out to 6.36 a us gallon Canadian funds for regular and 7.68 for diesel. With the US exchange rate it would be 4.58 us for regular and 5.53 for diesel.    Thought I would figure that out to get a picture of what it settles out like compared to various US prices and its about the same as the current price in Fairbanks AK as Anchorage tends to be lower. So yes, these would be the prices and higher along the way on the Alaska highway where they know they have a captured market !, for fuel prices for those beginning the long drive back to the lower 48   The problem is our Canadian dollar and going to the states that have the high prices, boy do we pay then !
