This might be the beginning of the end. My chips are on 6 months until prices are within reason of pre-war levels, maybe 8-10 because stockpiles need to be replenished for national security. Sad that we're two steps backwards from where we started. -

31000 miles. was not recalled. Did change oil to 0 W40 after 1st change. 5 oil changes and NO indication of any trouble. No noise, vibration, nothing. Dropped off at dealer yesterday with copies of all my oil changes. Waiting to see what happens. -
You appeared to be fixated on the idea that an engine that "uses" oil only uses a copious and highly noticeable amount between changes, otherwise it uses absolutely nothing. Your assumption is wrong yet you keep trying to prove it by...asking your brothers? Who's trying to keep up with their siblings now?! Trace amounts are still consumed during combustion and through other engineered designs like PCV... whether you like it, or think it's true, or not. Go ahead, keep doubling down, and proving to us all that you're incapable of having an intelligent discussion about engines on a truck forum. Hint: It's not your experience that's wrong, it's how you express it and what you believe it means. There's a difference.

This thread started March 5th. That was one week after that date for the GM dealer conference in Las Vegas, and dealers attending did see the new Silverado. So no, no reveal "next week", but there was a showing in March to dealers.
