There is nothing "cheap" about a Denali. It's top of the GMC line, actually a "luxury truck".

 

 

Regarding price, no it's not cheap. Regarding quality....it is. Compare the leather to a King Ranch sometime.

 

I like the King Ranch package a lot. I was going to buy that over the 05 Lariat I had. 2 reasons why I didn't was one, I couldn't find a model year leftover when I was buying in jan 06, and 2, because the care and maintenance needed for it. If you are not up on that they will look like shit. The sales person that sold me my previous truck suggested I not get one of those because I had small children at the time. The lariat leather was great and I don't have any complaints with the leather in my LTZ either.

DI is the only "fuel savings garbage" they are adding and IMO, it's not garbage.

L9H 6.2L does not have AFM.

Direct injection is awesome. It will help fuel efficiency but that is a minor gain compared to the power and responsiveness gains GDI engines have over traditional fuel injection. I've had a couple new Sonatas as rentals as that is a 2.0 GDI 4 cylinder with 200 HP- VW needs a turbo to make 200 HP on an engine the same size. And this has power from idle and the car is damn quick for what it is with that engine. I can only imagine how nice 70 more HP is in their turbo version. GM's V8s with GDI will leapfrog what Ford and Chrysler are doing and still keep a simple, service friendly design I think.

and i would definatley stay away from AWD. my friend got a 2005 sierra denali a while back and obviously he cant drift or do donuts or burnouts when we go drive around and he regrets buying an AWD truck
