Who loves driving in tow mode?

Me, I don't have a tune yet and I finally got tired shifting manually in traffic so I thought why not try tow mode. That was great, any side effects (aside from less gas mileage) driving in tow mode while only towing my big butt around?

I do when I have a heavy load in back. Love the engine brake

I use it sometimes, like it cause it holds the shifts longer, especially first and the way it done shifts it really makes the exhaust bark as your slowing done :driving:

I use it when im going down long hills so i don't have to continually use the breaks. Even had the exhaust rumble a little bit on a down shift, sounded mean!

On any other GM vehicle with the 6 speed automatic (CTS-V for example), didn't they just relabel Tow/Haul to sport mode? :D

You bet. Typically I don't leave it in T/H all the time (mainly because it likes slamming into 2nd gear when coming to a stop, and you end up kissing the windshield.) That being said, if I want more sport, I click the button (accelerating into traffic, lane changes, even so it downshifts coming into a curve).

I use it obviously when towing a heavy load but every once in a while I use it as it was already mentioned above just to hear the exhaust (which mine is modified) and to feel the shifts.

I dont like using mine just from an economy standpoint because it stays in the lower gears even after Ive mad it to speed. I like that feature when towing or hauling, but not for everyday driving. I just keep my foot in it and it does fine. Now with my new BB Tune, it will drop a gear quickly and precicely even when lightly increasing the throttle, but it wont hold that gear when I let off like the T/H will.

To me, the BBP tune was worth the $250 just for the transmission adjustments. Makes the 4L60E act more like my old 2500 with the 4L80E.

When I can get the money to buy an Autocal and the extra liscence, the wifes 6speed Tahoe is getting a similar treatment.

I find with 4 speeds on hilly freeways like coquihalla (bc) putting it in "3" is far better.

Definately!

It builds less heat running the higher RPM that shifting in and out of 4th.
