looks like hes keeping it off the concrete floor guessing to prevent rust

I've seen them set on 2x4's or plywood, but never a custom base like that. Pretty cool.

I just picked my 2012 GMC Sierra 5.3L C1500 crew up from the muffler shop this afternoon,

 

The Borla- GMPP Sport muffler is on. The shop only charged me $40.00 to weld her up & add a new head-pipe.

 

Can't wait for the drive home tonight....

Did you bolt it down? And is there a particular purpose for the raised base?

Will be bolting it down later tonight. The raised base is to keep water contact to a minimum. I wash my vehicles in my garage and when I wash the floor, it wont get wet.

Have you installed a drain in the garage floor to help minimize it as well? Just something I'm curious about. I wish I had the cash for a safe that nice.

I have a drain in the center of each bay, 2 drains total. The floor is done so that all water drains properly and won't lay around.
