Radiator is out of the jimmy. Those trans cooler lines are a PITA to remove. Just need to get the clutch fan off now, it's bent all to hell.

Switched out some seat covers in a Camaro today and boy was this a wild story almost hard to believe.

Took the sunroof out to work on the roof, put crash wrap over the hole, it rained that night and filled the crash wrap and stayed sunny the next two days ( 90+ degrees) and the sun shining through the water in the crash wrap burned the seats and melted the console. Almost like a magnifying glass and the sun.

Don't have any pictures but years ago a buddy had one of the first plug in Brinkman spot lights may have bee 100,000 candle power, one night he had it out and just threw it into the passinger seat and did not notice that he turned it on. Next morning we out to go to work and car would not start, after he got a jump, he saw the light hitting the floor under the seat. There was a round hole in the seat cover and padding, it was a wonder that the car did not catch on fire and burn up it and the house. :jester:

Wow, this was unreal what happened I've never seen anything like it before but one guy said he has seen it before but not to this extent.

If I have a locker in the rear, will that eventually cause uneven tire wear resulting in the shudder feeling I get when I brake (especially 30 mph and below)? I think I narrowed it down to that but now I'm not sure

Is it a real locker or the G80. Neither should cause a shudder when braking. A real locker may cause tire wear because of how it affects cornering but behind that, no. A shudder while braking is likely warped discs.

+1 for warped discs. Its fine while driving? If you feel something then too it could be a wheel or tire issue.

Remember when I had a caliper locked up on the front while driving my old 90 on The highway. I could tell they had finally

Gone wrong so I kept going to my destination so I wouldn't get stuck. When I got there, the caliper and rotor was so hot it was nearly Translucent red.

That's what I'm talking about. It is a real locker not a g80. I figured it wore the tires unevenly cause the inside tire skips in a turn and over the course of 10k miles I'm sure it did something. It doesn't shake the steering wheel. It's more of a back and forth movement while braking, but up and down if I drive 20 mph (as if there were major cupping in the tires). Weirdest thing. I was gonna put new rotors with new pads last week but I inspected them and they looked fine

Yayyy!!! Bad ball joint! I'll order some quality Moog ones on Friday with my next paycheck. I'll just order all 4 and replace all of them while I'm in there. Clearly Duralast ball joints are not very good. Lasted 30k miles woohooo!!!

Wow, that definitely is a factor in your shuddering problem either I'll bet.
